November: Where the best is saved for last

30 November 2009

It's the last day of November! Aside from today being a holiday to honor our hero Andres Bonifacio (double pay, yay!), this day is extra special for me not only because it is the last day of my 30-Day Blog Challenge, but because today is also Dane's birthday! (For a little background on our story, click here. That is if you haven't read it yet. ;))

As I have yet to meet anyone aside from Aian who wants to work on his/ her birthday (unless it is very, very necessary), Dane is on vacation leave from work today. But he still went to the office by lunch time and treated me, Mich and Watcher to Yellow Cab in UP - Ayala Technohub for lunch. :)

Birthday lunch :)

Mich and Watcher :)

It was a sumptuous lunch of Manhattan Meatlovers' Pizza and Spaghetti with Meatballs. I was so full! I love Yellow Cab :) I also gave Dane my gift to him. Here are photos of the shirt I got him yesterday from Team Manila:

left: black Love Manila shirt with red and white text and swirl patterns
right: Team Manila's logo at the right top side at the back

I am happy he loved it. :) I wanted a "for her" shirt for myself but it would be too cheesy if we show up at work wearing the same shirt! :D

After work Mich and I went to Sasha's house to welcome her back since she just came back from Singapore and Malaysia! She did not go to work for a week and I missed her! She gave me a pair of earrings from KL, yay for goodies! :)

We went home at about 6:30PM but we passed by Jollibee first to have dinner. We bonded over a dinner of Chicken Barbecue and Creamy Macaroni Soup and fun stories about love and friendship. I just love conversations with friends. :)

I love this photo of Mich and me :)
I am wearing a gray dress with a black spaghetti-strapped top underneath and black and white faux leopard fur ballet flats.

Aaaand since today is also the last day of my Blog Challenge, let me share with you some of the stuff I learned:

- "30 days create a habit", as per Ms Mariel. That is the premise of this challenge. I can really attest to that. Tomorrow is the first day of December but I have already thought of several topics I would want to blab about here in my blog in the days leading up to Christmas. :)

- Inspiration can be found anywhere. The world is teeming with possibilities! I spent the first few days of the challenge euphoric with all the stuff I wanted to write about in the coming days and I was happy every time I was able to translate my thoughts into posts.

- There will be good days, and there will be bad days. There were times that I sat for hours racking my brains for something to write about, especially if my day was not too interesting, and before I knew it, it was already way past my bed time! Looking back, some of my uninspired posts were written when half of my brain was already dozing off x_x

- I joined the challenge in the hopes of improving the quality of my writing. Did I succeed? That is for you to judge, but all I can say is that I have written one of my favorite blog posts of all time in this challenge. :)

All in all, it was a fun challenge, and I recommend it to everyone who might want to show their blog a little bit more lovin'! Want to do your own challenge? Read here to know more.

I really enjoyed this day. I love November, and I am looking forward to an even better December! :)

*This is my 30th of 30 posts for the 30-Day Blog Challenge.
