Neno's Award

08 November 2009

Pretty Kaye gave me a blog award! Thanks Kaye! :)

Here it is, the Neno's Award!

I wonder how its name came up to be, maybe the first person who distributed this award is named Neno, hmm? But I digress. The rules and regulations for this award are:

1. As a dedication for those who love blogging and love to encourage friendships through blogging.
2. To seek the reasons why we all love blogging.
3. Put the award in one post as soon as you receive it.
4. Don’t forget to mention the person who gives you the award.
5. Answer the award’s question by writing the reason why you love blogging.
6. Tag and distribute the award to as many people as you like.
7. Don’t forget to notify the award receivers and put their links in your post.

My main objective for blogging is to have a Pensieve-like tool that can store my memories for me since my brain can only hold so much. It's nice to know that I will always have something to look back to. That is why I try to be very personal with the things I write and do not use initials. (I write in my journals for other stuff too personal to share in the online world though.) Someday, when I'm already old, I think I will still blog, and then I will read my posts from now and smile. Even now as I read my blog posts that I wrote before I cannot help but be nostalgic about the past. It's hard to imagine this before, but my old problems (as a teenager full of idealism and angst) seem pretty funny (and petty!) to my 23-years young self now.

Blogging also keeps me sane. Whenever I am feeling a bit sad I just go to Blogspot and post  my woes away. When luck is in my way and I am feeling happy, it feels great to share it in my blog as well. I also find that posting shopping finds online makes me happy almost as much as acquiring them :) In sharing my blog with you I am letting you view the real me as everything in here, including the layout and the widgets installed, reflects my personality.

And of course, a big bonus in blogging is meeting all you wonderful and awesome people!  I used to view blogging as a one-sided communication, and now I am happy that it has gone further than that! I love that blogs now are more interactive than ever. Thank you for letting me peek into your amazing worlds through the power of blogging. :) Your comments in my posts send my pink, glittering heart a-flutter with looove. ♥♥

Now it's my turn to pass this on to other lovely bloggers! I hereby present this award to:

Let's continue to beautify the blogosphere with our posts, shall we? ;)

*This is my 8th of 30 posts for the 30-Day Blog Challenge.
