The 30-Day Blog Challenge

01 November 2009

So since I got Lady Fabrize I figured I would be able to blog more often. This is actually the first post I wrote using my netbook. No more waiting for my rest days to come just so I can update my blog! If a random idea pops in my head, I would just need to log in and transform those ideas into posts via the clackity-clack of Lady Fabrize's keys :)

This being the first day of a new month, I decided to take the plunge and join Ms. Mariel Chua's 30-Day Blog Challenge, based on her premise that, and I quote, "it takes 30 days to create a habit." Ms. Mariel is a former beauty editor of the Philippine editions of Seventeen, Cosmopolitan, and OK! magazines and is now based in New York City as a  freelance writer and editor. We have been corresponding via email for about five weeks now, mostly talking about my internship and her work experiences in Summit Media, my ultimate dream of working there, and a host of other stuff. She has got to be one of the most down-to-earth and kindest souls ever! I just didn't think she would take the time to read my blog, and even comment on it. I am also proud to say that I am in her blogroll :) Each of her posts is a burst of inspiration, and I really look up to her. And can I just say that it feels really nice when someone you look up to notices and appreciates you. :)

I have thought long and hard for a theme for this challenge. You can go without a theme, but since I am a sucker for themes and I think the challenge will be more special if it has a unifying theme (and showcase my writing style as well), I took the time to think of one suitable. I am going with My 30 Days of Beautiful Things.

This is just an added feature of this blog for this month though, and I will still continue writing about things that may not be complementary to the theme I have chosen.Wish me luck for the next 30 days that I may finish this challenge. :)
