Accessories and bags: these are a few of my favorite things ♥

07 November 2011

Fact: I go weak in the knees at the mere mention of accessories. The right bag, a dainty headband, layered pearl necklaces, one-of-a-kind earrings, flimsy scarves - they can make or break an outfit. I can step out of the house wearing the simplest of outfits, so long as I have on the perfect mix of accessories. Oh pretty thingamajigs, whatever will I do without you?

Before Jason Mraz's concert last Sunday, I stopped by Persia Grill in SM North EDSA for an afternoon of girl fun, trinkets, and treats. Accessorize in partnership with Bloggers United prepared a mini-program for bloggers, and I'm glad I was able to go!

I think I died and went to accessories-heaven!
How adorable are these cupcakes? They're equally yummy, too!
Accessorize is a London-based accessories brand that is synonymous with style and fashion. It holds a unique position in the high street with its inspirational, globally-sourced, well-priced and good quality collection of fashion accessories. I am a true-blue Filipino and I ferociously support local brands, but can I just say that I also love everything British? My line of work allows me to talk to British people everyday, and I just love their accent! And let's not forget Harry Potter, of course ;)

I really enjoyed that day because not only did it rain pretty little things, I also got to meet lots of new blogger-pals :)

Miss Monica and Miss Ayet of Accessorize
They're so pretty and charming and nice! :)
I'm seatmates with my girl-crush (but not in a creepy way) Helga :)
Oh look, I won a prize!
There was a sticker under my table. Lucky, lucky me!
This treasure trove of bags was ours for the picking! And taking!
We took home a bag each from this lovely pile after a mini race-and-grab.
Mistresses of the ceremony: Ana and Melai of Bloggers United team
After picking from the pile, we had a spontaneous mini fashion show featuring our outfits and bags styled with accessories from Accessorize. It was fun! I blogged about my outfit here.
I am still jealous of Angel for getting this UK flag clutch first.
I want to buy my own, too! ;D
Dinner! Table-mates with Nicole, Sarah, Angel, Helga, and Des :)
Being small and very light, I wasn't able to squeeze in and "fight" for my bag of choice LOL, so I got to the pile when there were only about five bags remaining. I got this: the Margot Tweed Bow Scoop Bag.
Whilst it is pretty and girly, I felt like the bag is too "young" for me. (Yep, I get epiphanies from a bag's design LOL.) That's why I really appreciated it that Miss Ayet agreed to let me replace it with another style before Ana and I rushed to SMART Araneta Coliseum for Mr. A-Z's concert :)

I got the Ladylike Turnlock Bag in brown, which Miss Ayet said is one of their best-sellers.
I will officially unveil it in a future post ;)
For you girls who spotted a bag in the pile that you want to have, I have great news for you!

This month, Accessorize opens its treasure chest to reveal an exquisite collection of bags in a thanksgiving sale from October 31 to November 30, 2011. All About Bags features season collection bags at 50% discount, including new arrivals as a way of showing appreciation to all its loyal fans for the past three years since it first opened its doors to the Philippine market.

Choose from any of the four enticing new collection bags: Margot (with a dash of ladylike 70s love), Phoenix (a cultural spin on the urban military look), Abby (a meeting of urban with vintage), and Lily (a illustrative range of Japanesque inspired products), all at 50% discount, because this month and same month for the next coming years, November in Accessorize is All About Bags.

This is sweet torture! With temptations like these beauties, I seriously fear for the welfare of my 13th month pay :D

Photos of the event without the krissyfied.com watermark are from Krista, while the photo of the bags is from Kira. Thanks, Krista and Kira! ♥
