Jason Mraz Live Asia Tour 2026 in Manila: Oh the wait was so worth it

27 October 2026

My husband and I just got home from watching the Jason Mraz Asia Tour 2026 in Manila and I'm still basking in light and love and joy.

"Ain't it nice tonight we got each other?"

So much so that I woke this blog up from its year-long hibernation so I could word-vomit here.

It was my third time to listen to Mr. A-Z live, while it was J's first time. Just like the first two concerts of him that I attended, Jason Mraz made the whole arena feel like an intimate venue with the way he touched the whole audience with his words and music.

Reader, I cried four times: during the opening song Love Someone, the entirety of my favorite A Beautiful Mess (all seven minutes of it), the opening strings of Details in the Fabric, and towards the end during the encore ultimate SM MOA Arena videoke session of I'm Yours.

This beautiful moment happened during A Beautiful Mess, and my heart soared. It was overwhelming seeing this majestic display of appreciation for Jason Mraz's music accompanied by my favorite song of his that he has written and performed. I have heard him perform this live for three times now but I get emotional every. single. time.

My only gripe is that he changed the ending lyrics and didn't sing the line I was waiting for (the line in the blog title of this post).

When he was already thanking the audience after his last song, he said "it was an honor and privilege to be of service through song." How nice was that. ♡

And since we're blogging for the sake of having something to look back on, let me look back on the two other times I caught Jason Mraz in concert.

We didn't watch the concert together this time as she sat in another area but we made it a point to meet up after the concert!

3/3!

I've been reflecting on the many years that passed since I last saw Jason Mraz in concert in 2013. I was 27 then. I was a completely different person. When I was 27, I just shifted into a completely different career from my old job of five years; I had to take a pay-cut so I was broke and had to move back to my parents' house, so I was always tired from the daily commute to and from my Makati office. I was heartbroken (and exhausted from being heartbroken). I was worn-out, but at the same time I always believed in possibilities and how I just need to Make It Mine.

"Wherever I'm going, I'm already home."

13 years later, I'm now 40 years old. I'm still always tired but I welcome and relish the causes for my tiredness. I married the Love of My Life and we have a beautiful dog. We don't have a helper but we both work from home and we share the chores. What we can't do (like the laundry as we don't have a washing machine), we outsource. We are not rich but my husband and I own our home, and together with my siblings I also own our family home and the lot it's built on. Who would've thunk. Gratitude helps me look for the good.

"May the best of your todays be the worst of your tomorrows."

To pause for introspection. What a beautiful gift. Thank you, Jason Mraz. Oh the wait was so worth it, indeed.
