Chic and classy a la Ferretti

10 December 2012

Aside from lifetime bragging rights (or at least until the world record we've set is beaten by another country haha), one of the perks I got for walking for Ferretti at the recent Glorietta Vibe event was receiving gift certificates valid until the end of the year. Earlier after work, I dropped by Glorietta to spend said gc's because I've been hankering for a new pair of shoes and a bag I can use to the office.

You see, I work in Makati now but I still dress a little too casually. I would like to look more mature and sophisticated but most of the pieces in my closet are still fit to be worn by a college student! Granted that okay, most of my clothes from when I was studying do not fit me anymore (RIP, my favorite pair of denims I've had since freshman year T_T), but whenever I'm out shopping I still tend to gravitate towards the teen's section more. I should change this because I'm already 26 and it would be nice to look and dress my age, yes?

So yes, Ferretti. When I went there a couple of times before for fitting, I noticed that the style of their bags and shoes matches with the look 'mature me' would want to go for: chic and classy yet never boring (the shoes I wore for my Holly Golightly moment is perfect for both work and play). As mentioned, I went there today and here is a peek at the items on display:

I almost got this but I figured I already have a brown corporate-y bag.
I loved this rich chocolate brown bag. It also comes in navy blue.

See? Chic and classy styles both in bold and vibrant and muted and neutral color palettes.

Among everything I tried on, these are my favorites:

Annabel Lee pumps (P1,599)
I still maintain that these are the most comfortable pair of pumps I've ever tried on.
I got the last pair in my size of the blush pink-colored pair. Lucky! :)
Bags (P1,999 each)
I honestly had a hard time choosing which to get; I stood in front of the mirror for a long time carrying all three (black, khaki, gray) bags, wondering which one I liked the most.
I don't have a black corporate-y bag but in the end the gray bag won me over.
The gray bag comes in two sizes, but I got the bigger one so I can have more room for my essentials. I wasn't able to take a group photo of the two pieces I got because the sales assistant wrapped them straightaway, but the gray bag has two more straps that I can probably show you on a future outfit post ;)

Now I'm wondering whether I should use them tomorrow already or wait for a more special day hee. I'll probably use the bag starting tomorrow so I can get started on my goal to look more chic and classy, then use the pumps for a special presentation for work on Thursday. I'm really crossing my fingers for that so please wish me luck!

Special thanks to Ferretti and Liz Lanuzo.

  1. Big bags are love! I always carry big bags for work because I NEED to carry a lot of stuff! Heehee.

That's my problem, too. I'm 25 and I think I still dress like a college student sometimes. I'm also trying to dress my age, but I still get more attracted to all of the cutesy stuff in the mall.

Looking forward to seeing you use the bag and the pumps.
