RAW power

31 July 2012

Edgy is a word I can never use to describe my style. I've always been girly, and this shows on the clothes I wear and the way I carry myself. Now that I'm in my 20s and being constantly exposed to a lot of influences, I become inspired to be more open to exploring and experimenting with other sartorial choices.

In comes a store that redefines edgy: G-Star Raw has landed in Manila from Amsterdam, and I wish I have more shopping funds like it, like it.

G-Star is luxury street wear made by denim specialists. A preference for raw materials, deep passion for denim and architectural perspective on tailoring are one of the main characteristics of the brand. From its conception in 1989, G-Star has been known for its innovative and cutting edge style in the world of denim. Pushing the boundaries of the denim material, continuous experimentation and product development have led to a strong following worldwide.
I attended the launch held last Friday night at their first branch in High Street, and had a great time ogling at the models clothes with my blogger-friends!

During the launch party, G-Star also presented the five Filipino ambassadors who are some of the most recognizable faces in the fields of modeling, fashion, film and music in Manila, and who perfectly exemplify what the brand is about.

G-Star Raw's Philippine brand ambassadors Sanya Smith, Pauline Prieto, Sid Maderazo, Mike Concepcion, and Gian Romano
Here's a small peak at the store (I wasn't able to take more pictures because the place was PACKED!):

Want a closer look at some of the clothes?

G-Star Raw for ladies
G-Star Raw for men
Is that edgy or what?

In keeping with the night's theme, here's what I wore:

Black top - YRYS | Gray animal-print skirt - bazaar | Bag - Fabrics in Style
Booties - PILL Footwear | Necklace - Oxygen | Bangles - YRYS and Oxygen

Also got a new haircut ^_^
Sigh, a G-Star Raw jacket will be so perfect, but the one I like costs P16,500. Oh well, a girl can dream.

G-Star Raw is located at Unit 201 Upper Ground Floor C1, BHS Central, Taguig City.

Special thanks to Primer Group of Companies and ARC PR for inviting me.
