Mini Christmas Party.Part One

09 December 2010

December means Christmas parties, and what better way to kick-start these get-togethers than a lovely afternoon with pretty blogfriends? Yesterday I went to TriNoma for a movie-and-dessert date with Ana, Ava, and Pax. Too bad Melai wasn't able to come, but I do hope we'll have another one soon!

First Ava (with her super cute son Athan), Ana and I had a late lunch at Bigoli [I have already lost track of how many times I ate here this year heh]. Ana specifically requested to eat here :)
And then we just roamed around the mall while taking photos and talking while waiting for Pax.

Mother and son, so adorable ♥
For the dessert-part of the date, we had frozen yogurt at Red Mango.

Medium serving topped with cocoa pebbles, chopped almonds, and crushed grahams ♥
Then Ana made us choose a ring from her stash of accessories as an early Christmas gift :)
I chose a pretty bronze owl ring which I named Hedwig [how original LOL]. I intend to wear it everyday. Thanks Ana! ♥
Pax arrived just when we were finished with our fro-yos. By then it was already too late for Ava and Athan so she just opted for them to go ahead and not watch the movie anymore. In the end only I, Ana and Pax saw The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

As for my opinion about the movie, I'll write a review of it soon. Suffice it to say that I enjoyed it even though they made significant revisions from the novel. I wish Ben Barnes would marry me LOLOLOL.

After the movie, the three of us remaining did the next best thing to shopping: window-shopping! Pax is a well-known stylish stylist and Ana has an undeniable eye when it comes to fashion so suffice it to say that I had so much fun "critiquing" different stores' merchandise with them and going "ooh" and "aah" over pretty and unique pieces we would love to add to our closets :) We also had this Eureka moment after seeing a gorgeous red satchel bag from EGG to split the cost of the bag among us four and then share the bag amongst us, very much like the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Except now it'll be called the Sisterhood of the Traveling Satchel Bag! We had a good laugh about it, but I honestly think it is a great idea and would like to push through with it :)

Before we knew it it was already late at night and it was time to go home.

Last picture of us three before we went our separate ways again.
And guess what? I am proud to say that I got through the rest of the day inside the mall without buying anything, save for a wrist-strap for my phone! ;D

I did buy this necklace from Ana, though:

Bronze angel wings necklace.
So pretty ♥
Plus, Ava gave me a gift as well. So sweet!

Yellow O-ring necklace and pretty colorful wooden rosary bracelet.
Thank you Ava! I super love them!
The afternoon was too short for us ladies. I do hope we can organize another get-together. So exciting! I'm definitely looking forward to the next time I'll be seeing you girls :)

What I wore:
Light denim dress - Tinsley Online
Lace cardigan - gift from my Aunt. It has actually been hiding in my closet for the last three(!!!) years.
PRIMA Ballerina Flats - Ylla Shoes
White bag - Marithe Francois Girbaud
Pearl bracelet - Anagon
Until next time, ladies!
