O, Wow!

During lunchbreaks here in my office in Makati I usually just eat with my officemates either in restaurants within the area or in the building cafeteria. Last week, though, I read off Twitter about a wonderful surprise that will happen around lunchtime in Food Choices in Glorietta 4. Being the naturally inquisitive person I am, I walked all the way from Paseo to Glorietta just to see what this surprise could be.

And O, Wow! Was I (and a lot of other diners there) in for a great surprise! You know how flash mobs are rampant on Youtube these days, having been made popular by Hollywood rom-coms? Yes, it was a flash mob with a twist. Instead of people just upping and dancing quite seemingly spontaneously but simultaneously, a live band gave a mini concert! It was a FLASH GIG, by no other than Sandwich!

Basically, the goal of Oishi and Team O - consisting of Oishi brand ambassadors Elmo Magalona and Tim Yap, Smart C+ endorser Slater Young, Rock Ed's Gang Badoy, Ramon Bautista, and a yet-to-be-named mystery girl - is to create everyday surprises or more specifically, "O, Wow! moments" for various audiences.  As Miss Gang said, they just want to spread the positivity around. And the flash gig was definitely a big O, Wow! moment! The diners definitely enjoyed being treated to Sandwich's live performance while people from Oishi danced around the tables, distributing Oishi snack packs in the process. What a fun thing to witness!

I look so fat in this photo with Raimund Marasigan hrrr.
Team O also visited the Marcelo H. Del Pilar High School and Polytechnic University of the Philippines where they gave the students their own O, Wow! moments. Click on the respective links to watch :)

Giant Oishi goodie bag!
This contained more but some have already been opened by my officemates before the photo was taken  (^_^)
To keep up to date with the latest happenings and hints on the next Team O surprise, visit Oishi's official website, Like them on Facebook, and/ or follow them on Twitter!
