Lazy afternoons

08 October 2011

... are rare and far in between, so when they do come I'm doubly appreciative of the chance to just breathe and relax. I love lazy afternoons, even more so when they are spent bonding with my closest friends over - you guessed it right - food.

One of my favorite things to do after work is eat out with my good friend/ officemate/ neighbor Michelle. We consider ourselves lucky to be working somewhere situated near good food haunts. Let me share with you some of our favorites:

Cafe Breton, UP-Ayala Technohub

Butter, sugar, and lemon crepe (P84.75)
Hot calamansi juice (P60)
Best eaten hot, you squeeze the lemon all over the crepe before eating. This combination tastes and smells soooo good! Definitely a treat for the senses. Yum. Just looking at the photos make me crave for it!

Friuli and Moonleaf Tea Shop, Maginhawa Street, UP Village

Smoked Sausage Pasta (P140 - good for two to three people)
Yakult Jasmine Tea (P75) for me and Honey Green Tea with pearls (P65) for Michelle
If you have never been to Maginhawa Street, you're definitely missing out on a lot. Dubbed as the ultimate food-trip place, the street is teeming with all kinds of food haunts with super affordable prices! I've already written about Friuli before, and I've got nothing but praises for this quaint Italian restaurant. Meanwhile, it's my first time to try Moonleaf Tea Shop, and it has become an instant favorite! I love that the Yakult Jasmine Tea had a very calming effect on me. I'll certainly be back to try the other variants!

These make all the sit-ups and leg exercises so very worth it! ♥

What are your favorite comfort foods on lazy afternoons?
