Crêpes and friends.

02 March 2011

So last Saturday I slept for only two hours before I had to reluctantly drag myself from the comforts of my bed - after my two alarm clocks rang themselves silly trying to wake me up so that I won't be late - for my Sunday morning shift. Thankfully work was pretty uneventful as I felt groggy and woozy the whole day. Never have I felt that excited for 3PM to come so that I could go back to bed.

Fate had other plans though. I delayed sleep for a couple more hours and went to TriNoma with my friend/ officemate Michelle, and she introduced me to her friend from college Flex.

Me, Flex, Mich
Flex and Mich were so funny together! They made me forget how sleepy I was!
We ate at Cafe Breton. May I tempt you with some heavenly goodies?

Michelle's Chicken Ran
Michelle's Make Your Own Crêpe
She chose crêpe with almonds and caramel syrup
Flex's Original Sin
Crêpe with chopped apple fillings, mocha ice cream, whipped cream, caramel syrup, and cinnamon
My Le Magnifique!
Crêpe with bananas, Nutella, almonds, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce
Gah I will forever love desserts! ♥♥♥♥♥

Our other friend Mae also came. She is feeling depressed this past week so of course I am happy to lend a listening ear. It's good for her to spend time with friends as well instead of just moping alone in the house, yes? We wanted to watch I Am Number Four but all seats were already taken so we chose Just Go With It featuring Jennifer Aniston, Adam Sandler, and Nicole Kidman.

I thought it will be just a mindless, forgettable movie, but it was actually good! I enjoyed it so much I even quote some of the lines from the movie to my officemates, "Can we go to Hawaii so we can swim with the dolphins?" just for kicks :D I lost track of how many times I laughed out loud at their lines! It was also very refreshing to see Nicole Kidman take on a role like that, after the many heavy drama movies she has made. And of course, Adam Sandler fits the role to a tee. If you're looking for a light movie or if you're feeling sad, then I recommend this movie to you :)

Mae and me

It was a lovely Sunday. Just remember: if you're feeling sad, crêpes, a good movie, or a friend who's always willing to listen can make all the difference :)

Have a grrreat March ahead, everyone!
