We used to use floppy disks.

10 March 2013

Today was very productive for me. I was able to attend a craft workshop, see my friend Ana, and go to a mini reunion that my old friend from high school Jodie has organized as her despedida. We've been classmates since kindergarten and now, look at us, almost 27 years old! The last time I saw her was back in 2007 as she has already emigrated to New York so it was really great to see her again and catch up together with our other classmates.

Yep, these are the guys I spent my school days with during the times when students would need to check volumes of encyclopedia out of the school library to have them photocopied to be used as reference for homework. I also remember when we would do our assignments at the Computer Laboratory and there were no floppy disks available for use LOL. I know this makes me sound ancient, but students nowadays really have it easy.

We spent hours eating, laughing, catching up on one another's lives, reminiscing our younger days, and wondering where the rest of our other classmates are. We also played a couple of card games plus a drinking game.

And now, since 2013 is the 10th anniversary of our high school graduation, we're thinking of holding a big reunion. I have taken on the responsibility of finding out what we would need for this to happen, so wish me luck ;) I hope most of our class will be there, too.

Thank you for having us, Jodie! Have a safe trip back to NY, and I'll see you really, really soon!
