Happy tummies, happy places.

08 September 2010

Last Monday after work my girl friends Poly, Mich and I did some major girl bonding. Isn't it great being a girl? :D

Mich recommended a place Poly and I have never been to before but have heard so many good things about already. To say we were excited to go is an understatement. We went to Banapple, a bakery-cafe located in Katipunan, Quezon City.

Such a quaint and charming little place :)
Beautiful interiors. I can hang out here all day.
Mich kept on telling us before that the food here is delicious and very filling, and now I have proven that myself! I was so full that I found it hard to stand up hee. Some photos of what we ate:

My Lasagna Roll-ups (P170)
Poly's Chicken Breast Parmigiano (P1175)
Mich's Hickory Smoked Barbecued Country Ribs (P175)
Snickers Fudge Cheesecake (P100)
Such a shame I did not have my camera with me. All photos were taken with Aristotle, my 2mp Samsung Corby Delphi. Everything was so delicious! And as you can see, the prices are very affordable, too! The serving size also makes it okay for two people to share. We took turns tasting each other's foods hee. Plus, the lovely waitresses were very fast and accommodating. A pleasant experience all in all. :)

Poly and me :)
I love everything about Banapple. I wish I don't get too full easily so I would be able to taste all of the other cakes on display, they all look so yummy! I will definitely go back.

With our tummies and sweet tooth extremely satisfied, we then went to Tiendesitas as Mich has never been there before. It was Poly's and my turn to show her around.

Located in Pasig City, Tiendesitas is like a one-stop shop for everyone. It's like one big bazaar where you can find locally-made products, fashion wear and accessories, antiques, furniture, handicrafts, pets, novelty items, and plants. It also features an entertainment and dining center.

The last time I went here was about a year ago already, it's good to be back :)

I really wanted this dress, but meh it's too expensive >.<
Poly and Mich bought identical boyfriend shirts :)
(I didn't bother to get one as I don't think collars suit me at all.)
I did manage to get myself this pretty bow belt, though! :)
I love you, pretty friends! :)
Apart from the shopping and eating out, what I loved about this day was having the chance to bond with my girl friends over long talks while on the road. I missed Poly who has transfered to another department last year, and it was great to talk to her again. As for Mich, I do see her at the office almost everyday and she always accompanies me anywhere, but we never run out of things to talk about. They are God's gifts to me, my angels without wings, and they are much appreciated :)

Leaving you with these beautiful light lines taken on the road while Poly's driving, thanks to my phone's slow shutter speed :)
Good food, great conversations and amazing friends: just three of the many things I am grateful for. Want to share more things you are grateful for and get the chance to win a Gratitude Journal and a Kikki K. pen? Click here to join to Gracie's giveaway :)
