How was your weekend? I hope it was fun, memorable, and not at all productive ;)
Mine was spent dealing with a major change - as I shared in my previous post, one of my closest friends from high school got married and we were all invited. We met up at 5:30AM yesterday and traveled for less than three hours to Balayan, Batangas where the wedding was held.
I'm going to blog about my [fun, memorable, and not at all productive] weekend after my friends have posted the photos from their cameras, but right now I just want to share with you what I wore.

| Asymmetrical top - F&H | Gold sari - bought from Singapore | Gold foldable sandals - gift from a friend Clutch - Accessorize | Earrings, necklace and bracelet - The Little Things She Needs |
I almost bought a new dress when I learned the color motif, good thing I remembered about my gold sari buried under Narnia that big jumble of stuff I call my closet! Bought on my first trip to Singapore, here it is, still good as new. As for deciding what top to go with it, I chose my white asymmetrical F&H top. I love how it looks sexy yet not too revealing, understated yet classy. As for the foldable gold sandals, I'm really thankful to my friend Marsha for giving it to me, it went perfectly well with my outfit ♥

Do you watch Once Upon A Time? Such a beautiful and intense show! The most recent episode that I saw just a couple of hours ago somehow inspired the title of this post :)
I wish Neil and Van a beautiful life filled with love, light, and beautiful babies ♥ Have a great week ahead, everyone!
Good morning, guys! It's now 5:23 in the morning here and I'm freshly showered and wide awake! :) I'm just waiting for my friends to pick me up because we're going on a road trip to Batangas! As I have mentioned previously, one of the boys in our big and close-knit group of friends from high school is getting married, and we are all invited ♥
It's sad that some of us won't be able to go, but, c'est la vie.
The motif of the wedding is gold, so I decided to take out the long gold sari I bought from Singapore almost six years ago from the deepest chasms of my closet LOL and wear it today.
The problem was deciding which shoes to wear. I thought of wearing my fabulous black heels and even packed it in my overnight bag, but yesterday, after seeing how sad I was because of what happened here, my dear friend from the office - Marsha - gave me this:
The neatest thing about this pair is that they are foldable and fits right into the matching pouch! Awesome! I tried it on and gosh, it's so pretty! Right then and there I thought this will go so much better with my gold sari than the black heels will. Thank you so much, Marsha!
We'll stay in Batangas the whole day today and will be back in Manila tomorrow. My friends and I haven't done this in a while (we used to go out of town twice a year when we were still in high school and college) so you can say I'm feeling pretty excited about it.
Oops, gotta go, just received a text and they're almost here! TTFN! ♥
This gift couldn't have come at a better time.
After hitting the Publish button on this post yesterday, I went on my challenging journey back to my apartment. Challenging, because of the rain and "holidaze" traffic that surely did not improve what I was feeling. I went home still feeling really upset, but after getting a very sweet phone call from my most precious friend Ed, I started to feel a bit better. I then opened the package handed in to me by my friend and neighbor Mich's mom that arrived while I was out, and saw these goodies from Bed Head:

| Urban Antidotes: Recovery |
RECOVERY is the second in three lines of Urban Antidotes products (the other two are Re-energize and Resurrection) specifically formulated to serve different purposes, depending on our varying levels of hair needs
Perfect for: Dry, damaged tresses that need a moisture hit
Beneficial Ingredient: Turbo hydration molecules boost softness and shine
Recovery promises to: cleanse, condition and thicken hair; smooth cuticle; detangle; maintain moisture balance for hair coping with changing environmental conditions; protect from thermal and combing damage; add anti-static and shine properties; and help support color retention.
Last night, still feeling a bit upset, I did what I love doing (aside from writing) to help me clear my mind. I took a shower. I shampooed and conditioned my hair using my new Bed Head products and I don't know if it's the yummy smell or the giddiness I felt when I realized how easy it is to run my fingers on my hair now, but I really felt much, much better ♥
It's funny how the blurb on the bottles actually says, "Dramatically improve your hair's health for an all-night recovery party!" How very apt indeed ^^,
I've already tried the Bed Head StyleShots Extreme Straight shampoo and conditioner and while I loved how it lessened the frizz and made my hair smell great, it didn't make my hair as soft and manageable as Urban Antidotes Recovery shampoo and conditioner did - which is pretty understandable, given that moisture is this duo's main thrust. I guess now you know which shampoo and conditioner bottles I would be reaching for more ;)
Thank you Bed Head for this early Christmas gift!
Want your own Christmas gift from Bed Head, too? You're in luck, they're actually giving out an iPad and lots of TIGI products!
Mechanics:
1. Like TIGI - Bed Head, Catwalk, S Factor Fanpage on Facebook
2. Post this on your wall publicly: "Follow @TIGI - Bed Head, Catwalk, S Factor on Facebook and get a chance to win an iPad plus rockin' TIGI goodies." Share the love and tag two of your friends in your post. Example:
“Say hello to fab hair! Follow @BedheadPH and get a chance to win an iPad plus rockin' TIGI goodies http://ow.ly/6RQEP.”
The promo has been extended until December 15 so hurryyy!
Expecting is my favorite crime and disappointment is always my punishment.
As much as possible, I avoid posting negative things in this blog. Those who know me in person can attest to the fact that I am generally a genial person and I think the magic that is made when my fingertips touch the keyboard translates that well enough. I prefer filling this blog up with pretty little things: those that bring me joy and those that I think might interest you guys.
But right now I just want to vent. Which sucks because I have just given the URL of this blog to the boss of the boss of my boss earlier today.
Whenever I promise someone something, I try my darnest best to do it. Whenever I agree to do something for someone, I make sure I do it. Even when it's out of my way. Even when it's inconvenient. Whenever I say yes, you know that is a yes through and through. I've acknowledged several times that I might be spreading myself a little bit too thin, but that's okay. It's hard for me to say no to people, especially when I know it would mean a lot to them. Now, in the very rare instances where plans would have to be changed, I make sure to advise the concerned person/s beforehand. That's just courtesy, right? That's just standard practice, right?
I don't know, maybe I have been too used to doing this myself that I've already expected other people to do the same.
A little over a week ago, someone promised me something. Okay, that someone promised to treat me out to eat somewhere. A week has passed, I heard nothing. I sent a little nudge, the person said it'll happen this week. Yesterday and today were the only available windows for this to happen. I heard nothing. Oh yeah, the person said something came up. Yesterday. I didn't hear anything the whole day today.
It's not so much as the "free food" - you know I CAN buy my own food anytime (heck I bought myself Christmas doughnuts and hot choco for breakfast and one big meal of salt and pepper pork plus rice and pasta for lunch today. I can buy more when I go hungry. I don't scrimp on food so long as I can finish it.) - as the thought of spending time with that person just to catch up and talk. And I don't know if I'm making any sense to you right now. I don't even know if someone's reading this up until this point, but I'm just too upset to care.
Actually, I'm upset because I care. And I hate myself for caring because I really don't want to. I've been hurt by the said person far too many times that I hate myself for expecting things to be better. Things will never change, we can never become friends because a friend won't do this to a friend, and it's time for me to accept that.
I'm done here. I swear I'm done here.
And now I'll just keep staring at this little munchkin to calm my heart and take my mind off things. If you are still reading this, thank you.
Let me tell you about the only silver lining on the most stressful day of my November. I think you guys are going to like this ;)
Exactly a week ago, I went to Eastwood Mall after work to visit FReSH Fragrance Bar. FReSH Fragrance Bar is a free standing retail concept store that lets us experience a new one-stop-shop for all things fragrant and pretty. Owned and operated by Scent and Beaute Concepts, Inc. (which also operates luxury fragrance boutique Art of Scent in Newport Mall- you may read about my visit there here), FReSH appeals to teenagers and yuppies with its vibrant and hip design that aims to make fragrance-shopping leisurely and fun!
FReSH has an extensive selection of premium imported scents - from luxury designer brands to retail favorites, as well as the latest from sports, fashion, and entertainment superstars. It really makes shopping for your favorite scents convenient and easy! Now, if you haven't found your signature scent yet, don't fret as the staff are very well-versed when it comes to the "language" of scents.
It's also great to know that they offer flexible payment schemes, promotions and loyalty programs so you can easily afford the bottle you've been eyeing. As we all know, perfume can be expensive, but in my opinion it is much better to save up for the real thing than resort to buying cheap knock-offs.
ARC PR invited me and some beauty bloggers to try out FReSH Fragrance Bar, and it is my pleasure to give you a virtual tour around the store :)

They also offer wonderful gift sets - perfume bottles paired with another item (like body wash, lotion, other novelty items) and housed in a lovely box. Aside from being ready-to-give-away, they're also considerably cheaper when you think of the total cost of the items when bought individually. Perfect for Christmas!

Jheng and I had a ball testing the different fragrances and gushing at how gooooood each one smelled! As proof to how well-trained the staff are, I asked for citrus-floral scents and the sales assistant offered five choices right off the bat! I took home lots of paper testers that now serve as sweet-smelling bookmarks ♥ It was tough to choose which one to take home, but after remembering I already have too many perfume bottles stashed in my apartment, I just decided to buy scents as Christmas gifts to my favorite girl friends in the office :)

| Look at my biiig FReSH shopping bag! |
Would you like to know what I got? I won't show them yet because my friends read my blog. I want to surprise them! Heehee maybe I'll update this post after I have given them my gifts :)
Still haven't found the perfect gift for the special people in your life? Visit FReSH Fragrance Bar now! The branch we visited is in the 2nd level of Eastwood Mall. They also have branches in Abreeza Mall in Davao and Marquee Mall in Pampanga. They're also set to open branches in the Garden Wing of Alabang Town Center and The Podium in Ortigas by the end of the year so watch out for that!
Special thanks to ARC PR for inviting me, and to Miss Lauren and the staff at FReSH Fragrance Bar for being so helpful and accommodating :)
Christmas just became a little bit merrier, thanks to these new collectibles to be excited about ;)
Guess what I came home with today?
Guess what I came home with today?

What happens when two giants in the food and drinks industry team up? Why, they come up with great ideas! Coca-Cola has partnered with Jollibee and released the Coca-Cola Christmas tumblers. Made of high-quality ceramic, these tumblers come in two unique designs that complement the jolly vibe this season brings. Whether you're an avid collector of iconic pieces from Coca-Cola or you just love everything that spells fun AND is relevant to pop culture, then you HAVE to have these tumblers!
Don't you just love how kitsch it looks? I personally love how the red and white colors are great accents to our Noche Buena tables. They can also be perfect stocking-fillers so if you're looking for a gift for monito-monita, then look no further ;) Aaand it doesn't mean you can already lock them away come December 26. The design is not too Christmas-y that they won't look out of place even when the holidays have long passed.
I don't have any plans of sharing my tumblers anytime soon (well, maybe, if you convince me hard enough ^^,) but if you want your own tumblers, all you have to do is present a single receipt purchase of any three Go Large softdrinks with any Jollibee Value Meal! This promo is also available with Go Float! Better do this now, as the promo is only until December 14!
Now please excuse me as I enjoy my ice-cold Coca-Cola served in my Christmas tumbler :)
