Got passion for music and fashion? You will love this new collaboration. á’„₍⁽ˆ⁰ˆ⁾₎á’ƒ♪♬
Music and fashion enthusiasts, mark the date. Oxygen, the preferred fashion brand of the stylish youth, is holding a pop-up music fest on April 14 at TriNoma’s Activity Center to launch its exclusive partnership with global music giant Billboard.
The event will feature live musical performances from Sam Concepcion and some of the country’s upcoming bands and DJs like Never the Strangers, She's Only Sixteen, DJ Toby, and Kat DJ. Music buffs can also update themselves on the latest global hits with a featured music station that plays the most current chart toppers from today’s hottest artists. Most importantly, guests can take their pick from the Oxygen x Billboard pop-up store which will feature pieces from the collaboration AND Instagram-worthy spots for them to shoot their own OOTDs in.
The Oxygen x Billboard collection features items for everyday use including graphic tees, pullovers, jackets, dresses, and accessories like caps and bags. The designs, which take heavy inspiration from the rock and hip-hop genres, come mostly in black and white save minimal pops of color here and there for select items, and scream of New York street fashion.
The collection is now available at all Oxygen branches! Tell me if you've checked them out already, and please do tweet me if you're coming to the event on Thursday so I can meet you! You may also RSVP to the official Event Page here. See youuu!

"I was put on this earth to accomplish a lot of things.
Right now I'm so far behind I will never die."
As much as I wanted to stress myself over preparations for my 30th birthday (I kid, I kid), I couldn't really do it because I was tied up with work. I love planning parties, but couldn't really muster the energy to plan something for what is considered a milestone birthday. When I learned about the Pinoy Bookstore Tour organized by the National Book Development Board though, I decided THIS WAS IT! My birthday plans served to me on a silver platter!
There was only one problem: slots are limited and I didn't make it.
Still, people were encouraged to go so I thought, why not go to Baguio for the weekend and make a trip out of it?
I had another problem: no one could go with me.
All hopes to have a memorable 30th appeared to have been lost. Up until a week prior I didn't have definite plans; all I know is that I didn't want anything grand and that I wanted to make it all about moi. And so on the day itself I had a Combination Swedish and Shiatsu massage and a delizioso Italian dinner with my boyfriend. ♥
And then, when you really need them, people pull through.
It was a beautiful weekend visiting different shops, eating, and being a tourist in a city he lived in for about two years before. I've only been to Baguio twice before, and it's interesting to see how things have changed since.
Our main reason for going to Baguio was, of course, to follow the Pinoy Bookstore Tour that had its last stop in Mt. Cloud Bookshop scheduled for April 10, Sunday. We dropped by on Saturday night and it's a good thing we did because we got to meet Edgar Calabia Samar before the bookstore tour participants even did!
He also wrote the Janus Silang books that I got the next day: Books 1 and 2 and the graphic novel version of Book 1 - three books bundled at a special price of P560 only.
The next day...
LOL remember when I lined up for Manix's autograph for six hours?? I AM NOW WILLING TO GO OUT OF TOWN FOR MY IDOLS. THE EXTENT OF MY FAN-GIRLING HAS COME TO THIS.
My fan-girling satisfied, we bought pasalubong and left Baguio at around 2PM.
It's a relatively short trip when you think about all the other places we could've visited, but I couldn't have been more satisfied. It was my and Miah's first time to travel out of town together and I'm happy that we got to know each other even more and how each one behaves in unfamiliar territories. He knows how important this trip was to me and he pulled all the stops to make sure my milestone birthday was one of my most memorable birthdays ever. #blessed
Saka mas masarap mamasyal sa Baguio kapag may ka-holding hands.

Hello, world wide web! I turned 30 today. (ღ˘⌣˘áƒ¦)
And because celebrating birthdays always means cake...
... this Valrhona Guanaja 70% Dark Chocolate Soufflé with Vanilla Creme Anglaise that I had in Le Petit Soufflé yesterday is the perfect accompaniment to turning thirty, flirty, and thriving.
I needed to send several emails for work this morning (because hello, adulthood), but now I'm rushing to post this because I'm going to go have a complete pampering session today. Massages, waxing, the works. I'm so excited.
Thank you for sharing your time with me! See you for more birthday ruminations on my next post.

Last week was my first time to miss my weekly Currently posting and I feel bad about it, thus this double post.
It was crazy. Today was my eighth consecutive day to go to work as I needed to work last Saturday and Sunday also for two events we handled for our client. I am tired but grateful for having had the chance to meet more people in the industry and connect with old friends who have always been supportive.
I wasn't able to take a lot of photos from the three Sandara Park-filled days we had (we were at the airport when she arrived on March 31, organized a shoot and a presscon for her that happened in EDSA Shangri-La Hotel on April 1, and assisted with her Fan Conference in Skydome on April 2) as Penshoppe's PR agency, but I was able to take a photo with the peeps who matter.

... Except I'm not really in the mood to answer a set list of questions, so instead I'm just going to post here remarkable photos from the craziest day (in recent history) we've been seen so far.

By the way. IT'S MY BIRTHDAY WEEK! I'm turning 30 on Wednesday!!
I'm not ready yet. I don't even have plans yet. x_x
Sometimes I wonder why I work in PR. Anxiety, self-doubt, and the temptation to just (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ set in whenever I get stressed more stressed than usual, and that happens a lot. But then the adrenaline rush I get during brand immersions, pre-production, the event itself, and after the event makes it all worth it.
In my more than three years in the industry, this specific project gave me a lot of firsts (and a special high).
Penshoppe and I go a looong way back that the brand immersion was like a trip down fashion memory lane for me. That paperboy cap Mandy Moore wore in old Penshoppe paper bags. My Don't Make Me Blog You shirt. The jeans I compared with finding love. The re-launch of their SM North EDSA store. Kariton Klasrum with Golden ABC. Meeting Mario Maurer. That iconic varsity jacket. My favorite maxi dress. I've always been a fan of the brand and it feels awesome to now be working with them.
Now, we're their partner agency for Sandara Park's visit here in Manila!
I was part of the team who welcomed her earlier today, and I swear she just glows! I need skincare secrets from her!
Dara's plane landed at the NAIA Terminal 1 from Seoul, Korea earlier today for a series of events for Penshoppe. She will stay here over the weekend to do a fashion magazine cover shoot, hold a presscon, and attend Penshoppe’s DenimLab Fashion Show at the TriNoma Activity Center tomorrow. She will also guest in a local noontime show and headline a fan conference at the SM North Sky Dome on April 2.
This project has marked a lot of firsts for me and I realize that even though I can already do PR in my sleep, there's still a LOT I need to learn. Exciting times!
Sandara is part of Penshoppe’s roster of star-studded global ambassadors that includes fellow Asian superstar Mario Maurer and supermodels Kendall Jenner, Sean O’Pry, and Lucky Blue Smith.
It's going to be a working weekend for me but I don't think I mindthat much. ^_^

In one hand the Holy Week break felt long and it's like I was able to rest well and do a lot, but on the other hand I feel like I wish I could extend it so I could rest more and do more.
I wasn't even able to edit my manuscript like I originally intended to, you guys.
But still, I was able to sleep in, make progress on the book I'm currently reading (it's Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children), reconnect with old friends I haven't seen in a long while via good ol' Messenger and Viber, spend time with my cousins, watch Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and take a LOT of naps.
Easter mornings are for camping in.
My lips are burning, not from kissing but from swatching 14 different kinds of lipsticks. I'm not complaining, though.
I remembered how much I loved Maybelline Velvet Matte Mat11 and discovered new products that are to be staples in my everyday makeup kit and occupy permanent residence in my train case.
Not a bad way to spend the Holy Week break. I wish I could've gone to the beach but, eh, I can do that some other time. What I need to focus on now are my manuscript, my birthday plans (I've got less than two weeks, guys! Less than two weeks!), and the loooong and busy work-week ahead. I wasn't able to get a slot in the Pinoy Bookstore Tour so I'm still trying to look for a workaround. Please wish me luck!
How about you, how did you spend your break?
