Gosh, so much has happened since my last weekly post but I haven't had time to write about them. I'm especially excited to share my loot from the Belle de Jour x Project Vanity Beauty Confidential event, so I'll definitely squeeze that into my schedule. Anyway, I will have lots of free time very soon. (◕‿◕) In the meantime, here's a photo of my Cupid wishing you all a Happy Valentine's Day!
It was a fun day. In the morning we were surprised by Dunkin' Donuts and Inquirer Super with a LOT of donuts, coffee, and games and prizes!
AND THEN, my boyfriend also gave a surprise visit in the afternoon and gave me a Vintage J Pandora charm. Now my Vintage K charm (his 2nd anniversary gift to me) has a partner. ♥
Thanks, bb. I love you.
As for me I gave him a Valentine explosion box. I've wanted to give him one since Valentine's Day of last year but I never got the time to make one. There are also sellers online but they're so expensive so I figured I'll just make my own.
Started from here:
To here:
I filled it with letters, photos, and short but sweet notes. I'm especially proud of the waterfall of photos on the second layer. I gave it to him last night, and he loved it. ♥
Whether you believe in celebrating this Hallmark holiday or not, I hope you spent it with people you love.
CURRENTLY
READING
I'm actually shopping around for a new book to read, and by shopping around I meant looking through my Kindle and my piles and towers of unread books. Although I will literally shop around for books at the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale preview tomorrow!
Lord have mercy on my wallet.
WRITING
Something for work for easier transition/ turnover of the accounts I handle since I will be gone for a long time.
LISTENING TO
The Greatest Showman OST. IT'S THE GREATEST! We finally got around to seeing it last Friday and I LOVED IT! I want to watch it again!
WEARING
My pretty blush pink wrap-around dress we got from Threads.
THINKING
Whether I will really proceed with my operation come this Tuesday.
FEELING
Loved.
LOVING
The Greatest Showman and Black Panther. We saw Black Panther last night and ohmygoodness. Between that and The Greatest Showman, WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE.
WANTING
Clarity to better guide me in my decisions concerning my health.
NEEDING
Money. If I proceed with the operation, I will definitely need funds for the hospital bills.
WISHING
I just wish for things to turn out okay.
Ending this post with my favorite xkcd comic. Aside from my Valentine tradition of watching Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, it's also been an informal tradition for me to repost this.
Thank you for reading. ♡

The weekend is almost here, my friends, and I am feeling crafty! Adam J. Kurtz's talk from his book signing inspired me so much that I caught the artsy fever again. Now I want to start painting again, or make a handmade book, or sew, or make paper crafts!
Since this blog has become a mish-mash of my hobbies and interests and things I like talking about like books, movies, TV shows, lipsticks, and dolls, among others, let's now talk about stationery.
I took my Flow Book for Paper Lovers from storage so I can do a little show and tell before I actually tear the pages and use them.
I was not aware of the existence of such a product as this until I saw it in Singapore last year. Ronnie's friend brought us to a store that sells art books and I just couldn't let it go despite it being bulky and an unplanned purchase.
Just look how thick it is! The pages are perforated so it's easy to tear them!
The listed price is SGD 39.00 but I think I got it for a lower price because the owner of the store gave us big discounts.
Be prepared for paper envy because I'm posting more photos here. ♡
The book is divided into three sections: PRINT STUDIO, PAPER STUDIO, and PATTERN STUDIO.
The back cover page has a flap that contains paper envelopes and a paper lantern.
I think it's a reeeally good buy considering the numerous designs and sheets of paper included, the quality, and the number of projects I can make with it. I am so excited for the first project that I will be making this weekend! Here's hoping I can actually find it in me to tear the pages and use them, heh.
Apologies but I do not know if this is available here in Manila, but keep a look out at your favorite art and book stores because they might carry it, too! If not, good ol' Book Depository is just a click away.

In this edition we’ve aimed to create the sense of being in a retro office; a place where you’d find all sorts of beautiful things in its cupboards and drawers. Labels, stickers, cards, envelopes, stationery, lovely lettering, pop-ups, posters and so much more. Once again, we collaborated with a large team of illustrators from all around the world, who are just as crazy about paper as we are.

The book is divided into three sections: PRINT STUDIO, PAPER STUDIO, and PATTERN STUDIO.
Writing paper, labels, postcards, folding envelopes, pop-up typewriter, letter stickers, fluorescent stickers, decorative stickers
Office stationery, tissue paper, wrapping paper, stickers, colored paper, a garland, mini posters, a large poster, fold-your-own-paper boats, a 3D poster, mini booklets, birthday calendar
Cut-out flags, create-your-own landscape poster with stickers, lots and lots of patterns, wrapping paper, mini cards, (glitter) stickers, patterns for you to color in

Of all the Ballet Manila shows I have seen so far, Cinderella and Ibong Adarna remain my top favorites. I have a feeling the newest installment of Ballet & Ballads premiering this weekend can also be a strong contender, though.
A tradition in almost all of Ballet Manila’s performance seasons (although I have to admit I have never seen any of their previous performances under this series), Ballet & Ballads returns to the stage to bring music and lyrics to life to close its current season, Flights of Fantasy.
Aside from showcasing Ballet Manila's world class talents, it will be even more special because it's going to be a star-studded affair, combining a singer with ballet numbers.
Christian Bautista is set to lead the roster of singers as a guest performer, singing some of his greatest theater hits as well as songs from his latest album. Joining him are artists from the Klassikal Musical Foundation (KMF) such as Andrew Fernando (Baritone), Jade Riccio (Soprano), Stephanie Aguilar (Soprano), Krisann Manikan Tan (Mezzo Soprano), Leo Angelo Lanuza (Tenor), and with the special participation of Dr. George T. Yang (Tenor). This marks the first-ever creative partnership between the country’s premier classical dance company and KMF.
No less than The ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra will serenade the audience the entire night. Additionally, the acclaimed group prepared a very special Teleserye suite featuring a selection of classic hits from the ABS-CBN primetime repertoire.
Ballet & Ballads will also mark the world premiere of Martin Lawrance’s Aria, which will feature five acts covering classical operas. Fans of ballet may remember that the British choreographer previously partnered with Ballet Manila for the highly acclaimed Rebel and Amid Shadows.
Watching ballet on its own is such a powerful and uplifting experience, what more when it is accompanied with live music and singers. I am so excited for this powerhouse lineup!
The newest installment of Ballet & Ballads will premiere this Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 6:00 PM at the Aliw Theater. There will be three other shows: February 11, (3:00 PM), February 17 (6:00 PM), and February 18 (3:00 PM). Whether you'll be with your family, friends, or your significant other, this is a perfect Valentine treat you all will truly appreciate.
For more information about the shows including ticket prices and schedules, you may visit Ballet Manila's website or follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Tickets are also available through all TicketWorld outlets. Please call 891-9999 or visit TicketWorld's website for more information.

Hello, everyone! I'd like you to meet Midge, the newest addition to my Dollireum. She is Barbie's best friend from Wisconsin, and this particular doll is from the Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse series. I loved that show so much I watched all episodes in Netflix in less than a week! I wish they can produce more episodes! Midge wasn't really in my list of dream dolls to have but when I saw her for sale in one of the Facebook groups I belong to I just couldn't resist. I just love her hair and freckles!
I took her out of her box last Saturday and had fun taking her photos wearing the original dress she came with as well as the other blue dress included in her package. You may check my Dollireum Instagram account for photos of her and of my other dolls. ♡
This was definitely one of the most restful and relaxed weekends I've had in a while. We spent it taking photos of some of my dolls and organizing their clothes and shoes, and I realized that my Barbies have more shoes than I do. Heh.
My boyfriend also got a Nintendo Switch over the weekend. I am not a gamer by any means, but Mario Kart was loads of fun.
Mario Kart's theme was stuck in my head for two days! (ꐦ ´͈ ᗨ `͈ ) Here are the other things I've been up to.

READING
I'm almost done with Adam J. Kurtz's Things are What You Make of Them: Life Advice for Creatives. You can actually read it in one day but I choose to relish each chapter. His book signing is one of my favorite book signings I have attended, and I know that when I get sad I'll just remember that day and feel less sad.
Also, while waiting for the book signing proper last Friday, I whiled away the time by spending monies. One of the things I spent on was The BUST DIY Guide to Life: Making Your Way Through Every Day by Laurie Henzel and Debbie Stoller. I have an entire shelf/ pile dedicated to DIY books and I'm happy to have this as the latest addition.
I am happiest when I make, and I am excited to make things with this as guide!

WRITING
A cheesy love letter. It's Valentine season, y'all!
LISTENING TO
My Loved Spotify playlist. It's a collection of my favorite love songs. ♡
WEARING
House clothes. I opted to work from home today because - TMI but - I anticipated the deadliest cramps in my history of having my period because my usual cycle of 28 days extended to 76 days because of my myomas. Now that my period has finally come, we can already schedule my operation. I am freakin' scared but it has to happen as soon as possible, before my myomas get even bigger.
THINKING
I need to be busier. An idle mind is the playground of a shopaholic's wish lists.
FEELING
RED, so I feel the need for the Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color in Uncensored.
I haven't read a single negative review. I need it. *cries*
LOVING
Dolls, but you know that already. I said I will never get a Blythe or a Fashion Royalty doll, but I find myself looking at photos of them lately.
I particularly like Blythe dolls with mint green or forest green long curly hair, or those with brown hair but modern bobs. I am actually thinking of selling some of my Barbie/ Monster High/ Ever After High dolls to finance my future Blythe. H E L P.
WANTING
See above. (๑•́‧̫•̀๑)
NEEDING
Money. Well, dolls and other expensive hobbies aside, I really need funds for my operation so I have started checking my stashes again for stuff I can possibly sell.
But then I get invites to things like the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale preview happening next week so what is the going rate for a kidney nowadays.
I'll get buried in a pit of books and dolls and other hobbies.

WISHING
Ultimately, I just wish for things to turn out okay.
Happy February, you. Thank you for reading. ♡
