Review: Maybelline Super BB Cream

I used to be just a powder-and-lipstick kind of girl but now that I am more exposed to the ever expansive beauty industry and need to make sure I look presentable due to the nature of my job, my everyday routine now includes more non-negotiables: a clean base, groomed eyebrows, a little blush, and a light sweep of highlighter.

For events and special occasions I rotate L'Oreal Lucent Magique Light Infusing Foundation, Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation, and BYS Matte Liquid Foundation, but for everyday use I stick with either a tinted moisturizer or BB cream. BB creams are excellent because they provide light to medium coverage and lends a dewy/ not too made-up look on your face. They're also more friendly to our skin. Imagine being in full makeup in this heat and humidity. Terrible, right? In this post I will review the new Maybelline Super BB Cream and finally announce the winners of my Super BB contest!

The Maybelline Super BB Cream is Maybelline's first BB Cream that offers high coverage and high SPF protection. I used to have the Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Cream and BB Stick but they broke me out so I was a bit apprehensive towards this new product, but it's a good thing I tried it because otherwise—as with other things in life—I wouldn't have known how awesome it is.

When it comes to beauty products, first impressions are important to me in gauging whether a product is worth trying or not. I love the Maybelline Super BB Cream tube's metallic old rose color because it looks girly without being too goody two-shoes.

What I love about it:

♡ It provides light to medium dewy coverage that lasts the whole day. Perfect not just in the office but also on weekend dates.

♡ It has SPF 50 PA++++ and is deemed as the country's first highest coverage Super BB Cream, eliminating the need for sunscreen. I still put sunscreen on due to sheer force of habit, but it's great for when I go out of town and try to pack light since I don't need to bring a separate bottle or tube of sunscreen anymore.

♡ The consistency is just right: not too thin and not too thick so it's easy to blend.

♡ Very affordable at only P399 a pop.

What I am not a fan of:

♡ It smells like green apples! Not that that's a bad thing, but it's just something I am not used to when handling beauty products.

I need to buy a new tube as soon as possible because the one I have is already running low! But yeah, I think we can all agree that the Super BB Cream is super. (*^-°)v

This 2016 I will focus to be a more awesome mother to my growing toddler, a loving wife, and take better care of myself. Last year was difficult and exciting because my daughter turned 2 and she became more persistent of what she wants to do. She is such a handful! "Terrible-two" is what they call it. This year I want to handle her tantrums better, be more patient with her and listen to her. Whew. Being a first time mom is hard (and a hands-on mom at that!). As for the husband, will try to focus on him more as well. He's been dropping hints on me that he needs more taking care of. Hahaha. ❤️ and lastly for myself. Since I'm such a busy hands-on mom, putting on make-up whenever we go out was non-existent. My hair is always in a bun. This year, I will try to make myself more presentable when going out. 😁 hence the selfie. This 2016, I will travel more, focus on things, have hope, try new things, enjoy every single moment, choose to be happy, challenge myself, eat better & love the people that really matter 🙈💕 I will give more time to God & be more closer to Him because that is one way of having a positive mind and positive vibes all through out the year! Being with him can make sure that my life can be more special 🙏🏻 Will make sure that every sunday I go to church and pray everytime specially to thank him for everything 😊 This year, I will make sure that everything that I do is good & helpful to others and to my family as well ❤️ I will spend more time with my family and friends because I also want to have some bonding with them 💕 I want to be a good student now and focus more on my studies because why not? This 2016 i will have more time on taking care of my skin to achieve healthy skin, glowing skin and the most beautiful skin. Since Highschool to College i dont have time in any skin care routine.
