Blues

03 February 2014

The past weekend was pretty eventful for me. My long weekend started on Thursday; I was on leave from work for my dental appointment and I also got to squeeze in a haircut and some errands. Friday was pretty low-key as it was spent recuperating from a tiring three-day workweek, and then as I blogged last time, I went to Babatnin with my friends on Saturday.

I really enjoyed that one-day trip as I got to see and spend time with my friends whom I haven't seen in a long time, and even got to meet new friends. While there, we went to another island by the sea and visited a salt farm. It's great how even with all the many changes around us, some things remain the same. My friendships are one of the constants in my life that I am truly grateful for.

Yesterday, I hosted my cousin's debut party. I was really hesitant to do this because I am one of the most awkward people I know and I am terrified of big crowds, but I couldn't back out anymore. I can't say I did *that well*, but I think I did okay. Not going to do that anytime soon, though.

Do you ever get that feeling when you know you still want to do a lot of things but you lack the time and energy to do it? I know that if you really want something then you should make time for it, and if you are really passionate then you would find the motivation and drive, but sometimes I feel those are not enough.

I've been feeling pretty somber lately, and I do hope the blues would go away soon.

"I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see."
