"I am not pretty. I am not beautiful. I am as radiant as the sun."
- Katniss Everdeen, The Hunger Games Trilogy
As you may already know, my good friends/ officemates and I did a photo-shoot last Sunday at the Quezon City Circle. I have been having a hard time choosing which ones to post as Mae, Frank and Watcher took a LOT of really good ones so I decided I will do separate posts for each set. This is the first in the series of sets I will post.
All photos taken and postprocessed by Frank Ruaya
Dress: 168 | Hat, LOVE necklace and pearl bracelet: Anagon | Belt: YRYS | Slippers: Robinsons Department Store

Last Sunday my friends and I did a photoshoot at the Quezon City Circle. I was afraid it would be cancelled because it rained so hard just when we were about to get off work. Thankfully, the rain let up and if anything, it made the skies even clearer. I am glad this shoot pushed through as it is my favorite so far! :)
I still can't decide how I can go about sharing the photos here in my blog as there were three photographers: Mae, Frank, and Watcher. Marsha and Mich also went with us. It was a riot of fun and laughter! They took LOTS of photos of me and it is so hard to choose which ones to post; I thought I'd spare you the trouble of browsing through hundreds of photos of my face (LOL) so I have to make sure I choose the *ehem* best ones. I swear, this shoot provided me with a lifetime supply of Facebook profile photos! :D
For the meantime, here are some behind-the-scenes photos taken with my camera Lady Mirabou:

Leaving you with some of my favorites from Mae's and Watcher's sets. I'm still waiting for Frank to upload the photos he took. (He was actually joking that of all the 700+ photos he took, he will upload only three. Those are: photos of a flower, a statue, and of Watcher :D)

I did my own makeup :) For my blog readers who haven't seen me in real life, just to set your expectations, I am prettier in photos LOL.
Now I'm tempted to change my blog's theme yet again XD
EDIT: Finished changing my blog's banner and theme at 1:10AM. I love it! What do you think? :)

Candy magazine's annual Candy Fair was held last Saturday, October 2, at A.Venue in Makati City and I made sure I did not miss it!
The last time I attended the fair was back in 2008. I was supposed to go again last year but Typhoon Ondoy literally rained on my parade. I invited Mae to go with me because I know she will appreciate the event. :) Two years ago I met with my Seventeen Sigaw sisters and I was supposed to meet up with them again this time but they cancelled, except for one. In the end, Mae and I still had a great time. It would be impossible not to, what with all the screaming high school girls and explosion of colors that surrounded us :)

The fair boasted of performances by local teen celebrities (the loudest screams happened when Frankie Magalona rapped onstage), games, photobooths (lots and lots of them!), school fair staples like a Marriage Booth and a Jail Booth, and a bazaar showcasing local products. Booths for brands like Ipanema, Skin Food and Sun Cellular were also present.
More than anything else, the Candy Fair celebrated FRIENDSHIP.

| And of taking pretty goodies home. The October issue of Candy magazine served as my ticket to the event. I also got a pretty bag and an exquisite crucifix necklace from Anagon. She also gave me a pink pretty bow ring for free :) |

| Teenager or not, I will forever be a Candy girl. ♥♥♥ |
Thank you so much Mae, memories from the fair (and our long bus conversation) will be saved forever in my pink, glittering heart.

The original plan was to eat out and have dessert with my blogfriend Jessica as it was the first time we met personally. Little did I know I would get more than what I bargained for.
My soul sister Ana invited me to the Vanity Vanity, What Art Thou? event held at the SM North EDSA Sky Dome last Friday, October 1. I thought it would be a great bonding activity for Jess and me so we made adjustments to go to SM instead (which is just across TriNoma where Jess and I were supposed to meet).
Dubbed as the ultimate vanity fair, the three-day event organized by PMP Communications showcased booths dedicated to the pursuit of beauty, health and wellness, lifestyle, and of course - vanity. Meanwhile, the programme last Friday was more focused on the - as what the host said - bloggers who are "celebrities in their own right." It felt so cool, meeting fashion and beauty bloggers I follow.

Too bad Jess had to leave early because she had other plans with her friends. It's okay though as we made plans to meet again after I come home from my trip.

| I met Ava, one of Ana's close blogfriends. Such a sweet and pretty girl :) |

| Would you believe that all these are freebies from the event? |
Laden with these paperbags, I walked to TriNoma (in the rain, on my heels) to have a quick yogurt fix with Mich and Poly. Nothing beats dessert with close girl friends :)

I went home tired and spent but happy It was certainly fun to be recognized as a blogger covering an event; being with close friends while doing it makes it even more awesome! I am so thankful of my schedule because it allows me to attend functions like this.
Would you want to know what the loot bags contain?
![]() |
| All these! Thanks to the organizers and sponsors :) |
But then, I might have gotten lots of freebies and swag, but the most special gift of the day came from Jessica.

| She gave me a journal and a set of headband and hairclips, wrapped in beautiful paper and enclosed with a sweet note ♥ |
Thanks again Jess! I can't wait for us to meet again! ;D
Sooo, I officially declare October as a month of possibilities! It has been just four days since the month started and already my calendar has been abuzz with a flurry of activities and I can't wait to share them all with you. It's going to be a busy week for my blog! ;)
