"You don't need a vacation when there's nothing to escape from."

I spent three days and two nights in Boracay for work and I had the most glorious time. It wasn't easy panicking and looking for a decent Internet connection to be able to view and send reports to another client before the deadline, but somehow doing it with sand between my toes and with an amazing view of the beach made it a lot more fun.

Except for Sadness. Sadness is not really a beach person.

This being an event to launch the newest branch of Budget Mart there, we were hosted by the Elizaldes and stayed at the Elizalde Resthouse, giving us our private strip of the beach and a vantage point from which to watch the stars at night, away from the noise and the crowds. It's true: no talent nor skill in painting can ever match the grandeur of the real thing.

We ate a lot of delicious food, and I believe I've never consumed that much cocktails in my life.

I am thankful for the brief reprieve from the hustle and bustle of Manila and although I had the fright of my life in the scariest plane ride I have ever been in on our way back, it's truly an experience I will not forget anytime soon.

Life's a beach.
