"Love is a beautiful thing. A powerful thing. But there are different textures to it. There's a range of emotion that goes beyond happiness alone. People like to pretend that part's not there, but that's the way passion is."
- James Franco
7 For All Mankind® has once again teamed up with James Franco to imagine and create another multimedia campaign that encompasses the 7 For All Mankind’s Californian spirit and denim DNA.
The SS13 campaign is called ‘A Beautiful Odyssey’ and explores the concept of LOVE and CONNECTIVITY symbolized through an aspirational white wedding. A white wedding, paired with the sensual surroundings of a California beach at sunset, provide the inspirational scenery for the campaign. Over the course of a day and a night, audiences gain a glimpse into the most intimate and sacred moments of a couple’s relationship; anything seems possible.
The SS13 campaign officially launches in February 2013 during New York Fashion Week with a fresh multi-media approach alongside the print advertising creative. This season James Franco takes a different direction and has orchestrated a fresh twist by allowing the audience to determine the fate of the storyline through an interactive Facebook initiative. Through the month of March, 7 For All Mankind will release three interactive trailers that coincide with polling questions allowing the viewer to vote for the direction they want the storyline to go. The outcome is a new Audience Cut edition of A Beautiful Odyssey.
The SS13 films will be hosted on 3 platforms:
Americas - www.facebook.com/7forallmankind
Europe - www.facebook.com/7forallmankindEU
Asia – www.7forallmankind.cn
A comprehensive social media and digital strategy is aligned to support the three interactive trailers. The campaign culminates with an exclusive screening of James Franco’s Director’s Cut on 25 April 2013 in Los Angeles. A simultaneous broadcast of the both Audience Cut and Director’s Cut will be shown simultaneously on the above Facebook pages and www.7forallmankind.cn.
“Following our ground-breaking multimedia campaigns in SS12 and FW12, this campaign continues to evoke curiosity and elevate our Brand, its unique story and the California DNA it represents” said Barry Miguel, President of 7 For All Mankind. “James has captured our product innovation, Brand beauty and evolution in a modern and refined way.”
The fate of two lovers is in YOUR hands. Uncover their secrets and deepest desire to choose the path they’ll take. Will their love flourish on the side of innocence? Or will past experiences bring their fall of paradise?

After showing a facet (I love that word) of my personality to you guys yesterday (you know, the music video-loving girl), here I am again revealing yet another side of my dorky self.
I love rubber stamps! Maybe it's just me, but I just love how they give an air of whimsy to almost anything. Plus, they show effort; they lend a more personal touch to my letters and notes without subjecting the reader to my scratchy penmanship. Also, they're a great solution to my dream of having my own typewriter again after I lost my old fancy one to a big fire. Typewriters are heavy, bulky, and expensive, so my alphabet rubber stamp sets are great substitutes!
Here's my humble collection:
ALPHABETS
ROUND LACE DOILY | POLKA DOTS
FAIRIES
STAMP PADS AND INKS
I spent a lot of hours trawling etsy and other online shops for more stamps I can add to my collection. But then, as much as I want to keep buying them every time payday comes around, I know I can't because I do have other things I need to set aside money for like books and clothes and shoes. It is good and comforting to know that as with other things in life, there is a magic solution for this: DIY! I will attend a short workshop this coming Saturday where I will learn to make my own rubber stamps! Yay! Well, the workshop is actually about tie-dyeing and stamp-making and we'll also make our own scarf designs, but I'm mostly excited for the stamp-making part heehee. I'm also quite nervous because I'm not really good in drawing, but I guess I'll just have to wing it. We will be provided our own materials for the projects we will make, but just the same I have already scoured different online shops where I can source other carving tools I might need in the future when I'm already a big stamp-maker extraordinaire. LOL how sweet it is to dream. ♥
But really guys, I'm just excited to attend another workshop/ class again because I love learning new things. Oh man I am such a big nerd. Oh well.
I am part of the MTV generation. That sounded totally uncool after I typed it but oh well... Anyway, I grew up with my nose stuck in a book while MTV runs in the background. I would anticipate commercial breaks every time my parents watched TV so I could switch the channel and see what segment was showing. Just kidding, I knew all the segments by heart: Most Wanted, Cribs, and Unplugged were some of my favorites.

I loved the colorful and artsy post-modern station IDs, the VJs (thank you VJs Sonia, Utt, Donita, Mike, and Jamie for sharing a big part of my childhood/ adolescence), the shows (they seriously need to make new episodes of Daria, Celebrity Death Match, and Happy Tree Friends, but I bet they won't be as good so on second thought I think it's best to just let the classics be), and of course, the music videos.
You gotta admit they don't make them like they used to. It seems like nowadays music videos just sell sex and scandal in order to sell. I'm not a prude, but I don't really need to see boobies or gyrating bodies every time I want to watch a song's accompanying video.
Do you remember Making the Video of the olden days? Remember when J.Lo got a wee bit excited in the set of Love Don't Cost a Thing and threw her bling just a little too forcefully toward the bushes that they needed to take a break so they could look for the lost jewelry? Ha I loved that. My favorite part was when the artists and directors would shout "It's a wrap!", I would automatically bolt upright in my seat and wait with abated breath for the video's world premiere. Oh man, I was (and still am) such a big nerd. I actually mourned when MTV Pilipinas shut down. Let's take a moment of silence and sigh for the good ol' days. ❤
Somehow though, a lot of gems still come through. This will be a little embarrassing, but my favorite music video used to be Stranded by Jennifer Paige.
The beach, the dress, the braids and the bracelets, the lights, and the loneliness - the video is perfection. (And yes, I know the song was originally by Plumb, but I liked Paige's version more, okay?) It will always be one of my faves.
Now though, I have a new favorite. I've always loved Pink; she's an amazing singer, songwriter, and performer, and I still get goosebumps whenever I watch her mesmerizing Glitter in the Air performance at the 2010 Grammy's. I used to like Who Knew the most because I related to it so much, so it's amazing how she could release a new song I could relate to more. Here's her duet with Fun's Nate Ruess, Just Give Me a Reason.
Just give me a reason
Just a little bit's enough
Just a second, we're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
It's in the stars
It's been written in the scars on our hearts
That we're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
I could go on and on about how much I love the lyrics and the melody, but more than those, the vocals and emotions behind the song and the video really drove the point home for me. It speaks to my soul on many different levels, and I love it so much my heart aches. For me, the video should always complement the song, and Pink really succeeded with this. I hope you're not being turned off by how weird I sound right now ha ha. Why I was able to relate to the song so much, I guess that's another story for another time. I wish Pink visits Manila for a concert soon. Goodnight, everyone. Take care of your hearts.

The day I've been waiting for since April 2011 is almost here. I couldn't be more glad that it's now March because The Script will be back in Manila for a concert on the 31st! What a way to usher in April, my birthmonth!
I had an amazing time at their first concert here almost two years ago that I swore I will watch them again when they go back, so when I got insider info way back in September last year that they will, indeed, be back, my heart skipped two beats! It's almost here you guys, and I am so excited my heart sings ha ha.
And because I tend to have an irrational obsession be wildly passionate about things I like, I designed a little something that I am going to have printed on a shirt.

| It contains the band's logo and their entire discography!!! |
It's available in The Inksquad, and if you are going to go to the concert too or you just like the band as much and you think it's cute and not dorky at all, then you can order from them here (available in different sizes for both Men and Women). I don't mind going somewhere and seeing other people wearing the same shirt as I am when that "somewhere" is the Araneta Coliseum where we will sing The Script's songs back to Danny, Glen, and Mark. Besides, I doubt we'll even look the same as I am totally planning to wear a ball gown underneath the shirt LOL. Kidding. Or am I?
Big thanks to my friend Jonas for buying me a ticket! I'll be going with him and Dao and yes I know that being a third wheel at the concert of one of my favorite bands might suck a bit, but I am just going to have to wing it. Also, they're very nice people and I don't think they're going to make me feel bad for being single heehee.

On second thought, screw worrying about feeling left out - we have Patron tickets! I am going to see Danny's perfect face a lot closer than the previous show so I really can't complain. ヽ(○´∀`)ノ♪
See you soon, beautiful Irish boys. I can't wait.
