Happy shopping with Shopee!

11 November 2015

Sure, going around shops with crisp paper bags on hand is nice but packed malls and horrible traffic make the experience a lot less enjoyable for me. These days, I actually prefer shopping online because it's easier and more convenient.

With the advent of mobile technology, shopping was made even easier and even more convenient. Now I don't have to turn my laptop on anymore. Tap and shop is the way to go!

One shopping app that I discovered recently is Shopee and I have already wasted hours adding things on my lemming list.

I also have half a mind selling half of my stuff in my room, heh. I really need to destash! And it's easy because anyone can be a seller on Shopee. From pre-loved items to brand new stocks, users can quickly set up a shop by doing the following:
  1. Sign up for an account
  2. Snap photos of your products
  3. Upload the photos
  4. Sett the price and shipping fee
And voila! You're now part of this mobile market!

Alerting sellers who have existing online shops on Instagram: you can benefit from the Instagram Import feature to upload photos from your Instagram feed to your Shopee account! Easy-peasy!

Buyers and sellers are also covered by the Shopee Guarantee, ensuring protection from fraudulent transactions for both parties for all deals completed online. Buyers are assured to receive their ordered items while sellers are assured to receive payments due to them once an order is placed. This is a big plus for me because I have been scammed by a fake seller before.

And because I have low EQ, here are the things I want to get, haha:

Useful for when I am painting also
Because breakfast
I have always wanted to get my hands on an engraver so this is perfect
Now guess what, Shopee is celebrating the world’s BIGGEST Online Shopping Day TODAY!

Follow the hashtag #Shopee1111Day and post to join the virtual festivities! Log-in at Shopee and enjoy huge FREE gifts, collection discounts, and hourly raffles, and more exciting digital events! Be a part of the mobile shopping revolution and download the Shopee app today, available on both Android and iOS.

09 November 2015

You know how I've mentioned endlessly here on my blog, on Facebook, and on Twitter about my wish to see and hear Nate Ruess perform live, right? And if we have ever interacted in person, I would have torn your ears off telling you all about it.

Well, the Universe listens, my friends.

Just last Friday, I got a message from my friend (identity withheld because he wasn't supposed to tell anyone about it yet, heh):

Ladies and gentlemen, NATE RUESS IN MANILA! TO BREATHE THE SAME AIR AS I DO! TO BE SEEN AND HEARD LIVE!

I literally cried when I found out.

Now I can't wait for a Meet-and-Greet, to buy official merchandise, and to finally have a Grand Romantic CD!

Here is this week's Currently!

"You don't need a vacation when there's nothing to escape from."

08 November 2015

I spent three days and two nights in Boracay for work and I had the most glorious time. It wasn't easy panicking and looking for a decent Internet connection to be able to view and send reports to another client before the deadline, but somehow doing it with sand between my toes and with an amazing view of the beach made it a lot more fun.

Except for Sadness. Sadness is not really a beach person.

This being an event to launch the newest branch of Budget Mart there, we were hosted by the Elizaldes and stayed at the Elizalde Resthouse, giving us our private strip of the beach and a vantage point from which to watch the stars at night, away from the noise and the crowds. It's true: no talent nor skill in painting can ever match the grandeur of the real thing.

We ate a lot of delicious food, and I believe I've never consumed that much cocktails in my life.

I am thankful for the brief reprieve from the hustle and bustle of Manila and although I had the fright of my life in the scariest plane ride I have ever been in on our way back, it's truly an experience I will not forget anytime soon.

Life's a beach.

The iPhone 6s Midnight Launch at Beyond the Box

05 November 2015

My first foray to the Apple territory is with an iPhone 4s. I used to not understand what the fuss was about until I first used it and realized all the amazing things it could do. (I totally sounded like a fangirl there, heh.) I also use an iPhone 6 and now I can't imagine doing my job without it. We use WhatsApp, email, and other messaging and lifestyle apps extensively for work and I seriously don't know how we could manage otherwise.

My phone has falling stars
Anyway, I'm sharing this now because an exciting new addition to the Apple handset family is here, and Beyond the Box will be holding a midnight launch!

I won't be there because I'm flying out of Manila this afternoon for a work trip, but I'm inviting you to check it out. I'm not due for a new phone anytime soon but I'm kinda hoping I am because that rose gold iPhone 6s is such a thing of beauty *heart eyes emoji* Anyway, if you are looking to get one, I recommend that you go get it from Beyond the Box in Century City Mall tonight!

Be the first to experience the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus and the big changes that come along with Apple’s latest iteration of their most coveted device!
Line up for the event on November 5, 11:00 pm, at Beyond the Box in Century City Mall and get treats from our partners Krispy Kreme, Scout’s Honor, The Beef by Hole in the Wall, and Edsa Beverage Design Group. When the clock strikes midnight on November 6, ardent Apple-holics and tech enthusiasts can finally get their hands on Apple’s best iPhone yet!
Guests who will purchase a unit (or units) at the event will be given store credits worth PhP 1000 so they can deck out their new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus with the swankiest accessories.
Are you coming? Tweet me if you are! As for me, I will be checking out the #BTBiPhone6SLaunch hashtag and be envious of your precious new phones. Heh. Enjoy!

04 November 2015

Until early this year, I would wonder how some bloggers would say they are too busy to blog and just couldn't find the time to post a new entry or so. I would think, huh, if they really love blogging, then surely they would find time for it?

This "self-righteousness" bit me in the ass when the last quarter of the year came. I know I'm big on hyperbole and I have a tendency to exaggerate but I swear, I found myself juggling too many things and between my new job responsibilities when I got promoted, my social life, and my individual passionate pursuits I just found it too difficult to spare time to whip up a few words for this website. I would go home late almost every day and in the rare occasion that I get home a little early, I would prefer to just read a book and basically stay away from the computer.

Case in point: this post comes two days late. Tsk. I have a lot of drafted posts, and I'm putting this out there so I would get pressured to work on finishing them ASAP. Heh.

Like I am so excited to tell you about my lavendream hair c/o JuRo Salon Exclusif!

READING

Welcome to Night Vale by Joseph Fink and Jeffrey Cranor. Miah introduced me to the podcast and I was instantly hooked! It took me a lot of phone calls and effort to get this but it's all worth it because I got the last copy and it was on sale!

WRITING
A list of things to bring to Boracay. We're going there for a work trip tomorrow and I have already started packing.

LISTENING TO
Nate Ruess' Spotify Session. He is perfection.

WEARING
My comfy pajamas. Sleeping shortly after publishing this!

THINKING
... and disbelieving that Christmas is ALMOST HERE! I really really really need to work on my Christmas list soon.

My kind of Christmas
FEELING
Frazzled. Still, I make sure to find time for:

Quality time with my family
This is my cousin Gab and his sweet surprise to me when we were at the cemetery last All Saints' Day.
Quality time with my friends
This is The Breakfast Club turned The Dinner Club at our belated birthday surprise for Sheila
Quality time with my boyfriend
I'm sad though because date nights will be lessened significantly because of his work shift
LOVING
Life. Cheesy but true. I've never been so busy but I've also never felt so alive, heh.

WANTING
A vacation.

NEEDING
Massages, please.

WISHING
I have more time in a day just so I can do more and have more time with the people I hold dear.

There you go. I'm hoping I can write more posts this weekend. I'd like to share cool events as well as my planner for 2016, hee.

How about you, how have you been? I hope you're taking care of yourself and taking good care of your heart! ♥

26 October 2015

One year, and I still can't believe you're gone.

My heart is full of sads.

But life goes on.

Here is this week's Currently!

CURRENTLY VOL. 43

WISHING
I said I love you more. Maybe the reason why I'm still grieving this much over the loss of my Uncle is because I didn't get to tell him how cool I thought he was. So I'm saying this to you now: I love you, guys. Thanks for coming to my life.

WRITING
Emails for work. Too much to do, too little time.

LISTENING TO
Jason Mraz. Mr. A-Z got married today! What's your favorite Jason Mraz song? Mine are A Beautiful Mess, I'm Yours, and The Woman I Love. ♥

THINKING
Of completing my lists as early as now. Christmas is barely two months(!!!) away, and I wouldn't want to be a deer caught in the headlights when the craziness starts like my experiences from the past few Christmases. I bought most of my gifts online last year and I think I'm going to do that again this time. Time is expensive, and I'd rather not spend that stuck in traffic or going around malls looking for the perfect gift.

ZALORA is joining forces with the e-commerce giants to bring you the biggest deals and discounts this holiday season, and I am so excited to spend some serious moolah check out the huge deals and discounts I can get! It's a revolution you wouldn't want to miss out on because it's the one time where e-commerce giants come together for the biggest online sale of the year. I buy a lot of my dresses for events from Zalora (the most recent is my galaxy dress I wore at the StrangeLit book launch) because it's just so easy, convenient, and reliable. The only time you would find me trooping to the mall to shop these days is if I have gift cards to spend, hee.

FEELING
Frazzled, but there's nothing that a good long cry (and supportive words from my boyfriend) can't fix. ;)

NEEDING
A trip out of town, preferably with amazing views, please.

WANTING
To send out postcards to people so email or tweet me if you want one!

I hope that wherever you are, you are happy and loved. Take care of your hearts. ♥
