I love memo pads and notebooks. I always have a notepad and pen in my bag because you never know when inspiration will strike. It is also important for taking down notes because sometimes it is faster to write it down than type everything in the Notes feature of my phone. And of course it is always handy just in case I happen to see Chito Miranda. Ö
In line with this, let me say that I adore corkboards too. I love that you can post little memos you have to remember, display your wishlists (since you can put it up at 'strategic' locations) and even personalize it by putting snazzy stuff! I have one in my room at home, and I also made one for Athan before.
For the RACK's (name of our apartment which is made up of the first letters of our (tenants) names), I made a corkboard which we put up at the living room so that we can post notes for each other, grocery lists, and etc. I think it is even better than just texting each other. And it's even more personalized. I wanted to put pictures of Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen and Ben Barnes as Prince Caspian but R would not let me. Bummer.
So what did I do? I made one that I can put up in my room, of course. Ü

Here is the corkboard I made for my room at the RACK's:
Her name is Pixiedust. She's not yet completely done, though. I still need to add some other stuff to her. Which I will, in the next few days. I'm going to Krissify her hehe.
Now I can ogle at Edward Cullen and Prince Caspian whenever I want to. Ü
Will be back at the RACK's later. Happy Halloween everyone! And advanced happy birthday Jinna! ♥
It has a nice ring to it. don't you think so? :p
I have long been wanting to attend writing workshops but they rarely come by. There was one back in August, a 3 days and 2 nights workshop in Tagaytay held by Ms. Tara Sering, but I was not able to attend it because of self-esteem issues. I haven't written stuff for so long (apart from my blog posts) that I really feel that I've lost my rhythm. I was afraid that if I cannot produce anything halfway decent then the workshop organizers will throw me off the cliff or something haha!
Enough about that, now here is something I am excited about! And it's not about shopping! Ö Thanks to Sis Anagon for blogging about it, I waited for announcements from Powerbooks through their Multiply site for this event. Ü

There is a big chance that I would be able to attend those workshops that will be held at the SM Megamall branch. But I need to apply for Vacation Leaves though, and I believe I am already out of VL credits =/ But my manager is supportive, so I really hope he can pull some strings for me.. Hehe. Meanwhile regarding those that will be held at the Greenbelt branch I have a feeling I will not be able to attend those because it's too far. Besides with my work hours of 6am - 3pm I am sure I would be really flustered by then.
I surely wish Sis Ana and I can attend these workshops. It would be a great way to enhance our skills, remember forgotten lessons, and revive my rhythm that I seem to have lost already. Besides this is an opportunity for us soul sisters to bond. Ü

It's not a secret that I am totally addicted to shopping for clothes, shoes and other what-nots. I have an extensive collection of accessories, books, DVDs and other thingamajigs. I can quote movie lines without batting an eyelash.
But of course no one is perfect. I have an Achilles' heel, too. And that, my friends, is makeup. I swear I am so clueless when it comes to applying makeup! I have the quintessential pressed powder and eyelash curler and I have a fairly extensive collection of lipbalms and lipgloss. I swipe the occasional cheek stain every now and then when I am looking super pale. But for all of the others I am just not a fan. I wear glasses so it is (a little) pointless to apply eyeshadow and mascara. I am a total klutz at applying foundation, concealer and bronzer.
I pore endlessly at my copies of Cosmopolitan and Allure and then try putting on makeup but I just cannot seem to get it right. I am hopeless. Besides, I am just too lazy to do the whole paint-your-face thing. And of course, ten minutes outside and I am sure the effort would be worthless because of the humidity in this country. I am also not big on that whole pamper-me thing. I have never had a facial and I do my own manicure and pedicure. I am very ticklish so massages are no-no for me. I reason, "Wala akong pakialam, basta marami akong sapatos." (I don't care, so long as I have many shoes.)
But I would still want to learn. How to apply makeup that is. Who knows when I am going to need it, right? I would also want to have a big traincase full of yummy colors of tubes and pallettes inside. I want to learn how to apply makeup.

Friends are so not overrated.
Yesterday was the 9th anniversary of KKK or Kalokohan, Kabaliwan ng 5 Kababaihan. We've been friends since we were in elementary but only on that fateful day of October 26, 1999 did we come up with a name for our clique.
We've been through tears-inducing laugh trips, nosebleed-causing school projects, bonding moments disguised as study sessions, jerks-for-boyfriends, and of course, the quintessential petty fights.
Many things have changed. Now we're too busy to see each other. But one thing still remains. Cliche as it may sound, we're friends, and forever we will be.

This. This can literally take your breath away.

I love the cascading layers, the ruffles and the flowers. The colors blue, green and gray are also mixed and blended together in a very nice way. The gold shoes and accessories added the perfect finish to the gown.
I loved Anne in her movies Princess Diaries (both the first and second), The Devil Wears Prada and Get Smart. I think she is very beautiful. Just look at those eyes. And smile. And body. And the way she carries herself. She's a classic beauty. And a talented actress at that as well.

New shopping loot!
I got this from Sis Beth. It was actually first released in blue but I did not like it that much. But when I saw this, whoah, I just HAD to have it. And now I do. Yay for me! Ü
And won't you just look at this cuff I got from Sis Clarise:
It goes perfectly with the Slim Chitao! Together they add extra oomph and fab factor to an otherwise too simple white top and jeans combo. Nice!
And from Tita Mac and Kaye, I got these:
IceBreakers lipbalms
Hershey's/ Reese and Watermelon/ Pink Lemonade
Shucks, I have succumbed to my vice once more. But no one's complaining! Everybody wins ;)

And, I totally was not expecting this, but Tita Mac also sent me these:
I ordered a handcuff necklace for my office mate from them before, and shortly after that I celebrated my birthday. Tita Mac messaged me to ask which would I like, discount or gift, and I chose gift. And then I totally forgot all about it since that was way back in April, so I was really surprised when I saw these in the package, with a card! They're so sweet! Oh wow thanks so much! Ü
