Lily: Don't Ted-out about it.
Ted: Did you just use my name as a verb?
Barney: Oh, yeah, we do that when you're not around. "Ted-out": to over think. See also "Ted-up". "Ted-up": to over think with disastrous consequences. For example, "Billy Tedded-up when he-"
Ted: All right, I get it.

“You were given life; it is your duty
(and also your entitlement as a human being)
to find something beautiful within life,
no
matter
how
slight.”
- Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
I just love seeing greens juxtaposed with buildings. It's a sight that never fails to make me happy, and that's why I love walking in Ayala Avenue particularly in Ayala Triangle Gardens.
Anyway, no one can stay long in this not-particularly-sad-but-feeling-completely-empty state when listening to Jason Mraz's songs, who incidentally is celebrating his birthday today. Happy birthday, Jason! Thank you for your gift of music. Here's hoping you visit Manila again soon.
And here's more hoping for the best, whatever that may be.
"You'll need coffee shops and sunsets and road trips.
Airplanes and passports and new songs and old songs,
but people more than anything else.
You will need other people
and you will need to be
that other person
to someone else,
that other person
to someone else,
a living
breathing
screaming
invitation to believe better things."

"Focus on the powerful,
euphoric,
magical,
synchronistic,
beautiful parts of life,
and the universe will keep giving them to you."

"The great moments of your life won't necessarily be the things you do. They'll also be the things that happen to you. Now I'm not saying you can't take action to affect the outcome of your life. You have to take action. And you will! But never forget that on any day, you could step out the front door and your whole life could change forever. You see, the Universe has a plan kids, and that plan is always in motion. A butterfly flaps its wings and it starts to rain. It's a scary thought, but it's also kind of wonderful. All these little parts of the machine constantly working... Making sure that you end up exactly where you're supposed to be, exactly when you're supposed to be there. The right place, at the right time."

"Popularity should be no scale for the election of politicians. If it would depend on popularity, Donald Duck and The Muppets would take seats in senate."
- Orson Welles
"When you think about it, everything is fleeting. Every second of every minute of every hour.
The race and the rush and the choices and the chances.
The love that grazed your fingertips, possibilities that brushed past you on your way out to work or play or save the world, a happy ending you may have believed in with a faith beyond anything you could have imagined you were capable of.
We shove each other for space, we lament the loss of time as we scatter it throughout the vast landscapes of our lives.
When we count the broken pieces, we realize that we will not be here forever, so we chase after these moments, seize them, and try to make them last and last and last.
But maybe the best we can do is to understand that there is
one thing in particular that should always come first."

Carpe that freakin' Diem. Cheers to peace, love & lipgloss! ♥
You may not be her first, her last, or her only. She loved before, she may love again. But if she loves you now, what else matters? She's not perfect - you aren't either, and the two of you may never be perfect together but if she can make you laugh, cause you to think twice, and admit to being human and making mistakes, hold onto her and give her the most you can. She may not be thinking about you every second of the day, bu she will give you a part of her that she knows you can break - her heart. So don't hurt her, don't change her, don't analyze and don't expect more than she can give. Smile when she makes you happy, let her know when she makes you mad, and miss her when she's not there.
- Bob Marley

Jane: Isn't "exciting assignment" a contradiction in terms?
Daria: I don't know. Let's ask our inspiring instructor.
Hahaha! I love Daria and her acerbic wit. Biting sarcasm at its finest!
I miss Recks. This is how we normally talk. Recks come on! When will we catch up??
