POSH Nails Hand and Foot Spa! ♥
Remember the girly pampering session my fashion blogger-friends and I had at their Tomas Morato branch last April? I was treated to another one, and this time it was done at their newest branch in Commonwealth. My dear friend Michelle and I went last Wednesday after work, and I really enjoyed our stay!

Just like in their Tomas Morato branch, the Commonwealth branch has a very inviting and relaxing atmosphere. I just wanted to sink in those couches and pillows the whole day and forget about work, schedules, and other woes ;D Besides, everything looks brand spanking new since this branch opened just last August!

Mich was given the Posh Spoiling treatment for both hands (P240) and feet (P460) that involved foot spa, scrub, massage, and mani-pedi. As for me, I was given the Fetish treatment (P1,350) which basically involved everything plus paraffin wax for both hands and feet.

It was actually my first time to try the paraffin wax, and I swear they made my skin the softest ever! I was hesitant at first because I was scared the wax would be too hot, but after a few seconds of having it applied I became comfortable already. The hot wax was applied using a brush, and then my hands were soaked afterwards.

I couldn't decide which color to use, so in the end I chose two! As for Mich, her toenails were painted a gorgeous shade of red, while her fingernails were colored lavender.

I really enjoyed my stay there, and I promise to go back more often. Because it is just near my office and my apartment, hopefully I can pop in every once in a while. After all, pampering sessions do not need any justifications ;)

Sometimes, it's the little details that really count...
What is the common denominator in these outfit photos? Hosiery. You gotta admit, stockings lent a special touch to the outfits and "completed" the look. I love using hosiery whenever I can because of the effortless way they can instantly jazz up an outfit. And yes, they made sure the nasty scars I got from a wound infection almost a year ago were covered up nicely ;)

I met her in a couple of events and she was so nice!) and Pablo Cabahug.And because we have to have something for the gentlemen too, Elements collaborated with Ferdi Salvador and Ram De Vera.

Here is a review of the SMART Netphone exactly a month after I won it from the raffle at the 9.10.11 Grand Launch :)
I apologize that it took so long for me to post this review, but if you've been a long-time reader of my blog you would've noticed already that I take these reviews seriously; I really take the time to get to know each item to be reviewed (whether it be a gadget or a beauty product) thoroughly. I don't want to form half-hearted opinions, you see. Now, here we go, let's see how the Netphone fares.
FORM
The SMART Netphone is an Android Froyo touch-screen phone that resembles other standard touch-phones running on the Android platform - sleek and not shabby at all. (Check out my Samsung Galaxy Ace as reference.) I may be biased here, but I like that it runs on Android OS as everything is smoother, faster and sleeker - plus of course, the Android Market offers thousands of free apps for every purpose, ensuring you'll never have a dull moment in your life.

The Netphone has 512mb memory and external memory expandable up to 16gb. Even with all those apps already installed I've experienced very rare lagging times, and it's only when I am playing "hardcore" games like Angry Birds. As for games like Jewel Deluxe or Connect 'Em, I didn't encounter any lag problems.

| The SMART dashboard displays your registered name, most recent status update, and shortcuts to the SMART Inbox, SMS messages, Chat inbox, and Social tab. If you click the arrow pointing to the right, it will reflect your updated load credits. |
After inserting your SMART SIM for the first time, it will ask you to register. After registering with your name and password, you can sync your Facebook and Twitter accounts already so you can check your feeds and timeline. It's that simple!

Here comes the fun part. SMART promises connectivity to your Facebook and Twitter feeds without the need to subscribe to any data plan - as long as you have at least P1.00 credit. I'm online all day, every day, without burning through my credits! My phone bill actually reached P3,000 a couple of months ago as I used it to go online when my netbook got busted, so the Netphone is godsend for me since it enables me to check my emails and maintain an active social life without the need to be stressed over bills.
Aaand not only that, you can also enjoy a specialized Chat messaging service with your friends on the Netphone, even without knowing their numbers! You just have to search for their names from the Global Directory, add them, wait for them to approve, and chat away! Simply amazing, huh?

But as with any Android phone, my only slight problem with this is the battery. I need to charge it once a day - but I guess that's a small price to pay for a multi-tasking, multi-media phone. Also, I wish they add the options to check Twitter mentions, Direct Messages, and Facebook personal messages on the Social tab. If that is granted I think I will spontaneously combust over what a truly superphone the Netphone is ;D
PS: Do you know SMART is coming up with more phone models powered by Netphone connectivity? Samsung Galaxy Y is already open for pre-order, and it will be sold for only P5,990! What an amazing price for an Android Gingerbread, yes? I also heard there'll be an HTC model, too. Are you as excited as me for these new models? I wonder if they'll raffle some units anytime soon? ;)

Whatever problems you have for the moment, cheer up—Yoga For Life, the first ever community-based yoga class series designed for people affected by HIV in different ways, wants you to take on a personal mission to live a happy, well-rounded life. The yogis and yoginis from Yoga For Life encourage you to begin your own advocacy to live with a positive outlook, and sharing that positivism to the world—which you can start by helping others use love and happiness against HIV.
“We at Yoga For Life wish to challenge everyone to imbibe the spirit of living positively and living well in our newest awareness campaign,” says Charmaine Cu-Unjieng, Yoga For Life co-founder.
Through Yoga For Life’s “Living Positively + Living Well” movement, individuals from all walks of life are called to add their voice to the growing number of advocates rallying for positivism and uniting against HIV. To do this, the group will be conducting a two-part open photoshoot on October 22 and 29 at the Pioneer Studios, Mandaluyong City to capture each individual’s story and advocacy. The photos and stories shared in this event will be featured in a photo exhibition, to coincide with the Pride March in December.
Participants in the open photoshoot will get their professionally-shot portraits by photographer Noel Abelardo, and a special Yoga for Life “Living Positively + Living Well” shirt. During the event, specially-trained peer counselors from The Love Yourself Project (TLYP) will offer free counseling as well.
Proceeds to the event will be used for further skills training of YFL members, as the group expands its program to reach more people affected by HIV.
“With this movement, we want to inspire people everywhere to live and spread a positive, healthy outlook in life—whatever circumstances they are in,” ends Yoga for Life co-founder Paulo Leonido.

Last night was a trip down memory lane for me as I watched Disney Live! Mickey's Music Festival at the Araneta Coliseum with my family and fabulous friends! When I learned from Ed that our friend JV (of Vivre Fort Entertainment) will give us VIP tickets, I literally squealed with delight!

I spent the travel time to Araneta practically bubbling with excitement! You see, one of my fondest childhood memories was watching Disney On Ice at the Araneta when I was still six or seven. My parents would always bring me and my brother Ken before, and I've always loved those shows! And now, look at me at 25 - acting like a kid again!
And now, let me share with you the Disney Live experience! This is quite picture-heavy, but I managed to take fairly good photos, thanks to our good seats!

I LOL'd when Mickey was described as the "hardest-working Mouse in show business" haha! It was awesome! I couldn't even begin to tell you guys how much I enjoyed the show! I wish you were all there last night as I'm sure you would have enjoyed it, too! I am not embarrassed to admit I clapped my hands with glee the whole time :D I sang along, I danced along, I clapped to my heart's content! I grew up to Disney movies, and even before J.K. Rowling came up with Harry Potter, these guys are my first loves ♥

Why doesn't Disney make movies like they used to? Tangled was great, but it's not in the same league as The Lion King or The Beauty and the Beast.
