#EricandErica

"Once in a while, right in the middle of an ordinary life,
love gives us a fairy tale."

I just came home from Eric and Rica's wedding weekend and I'm certain that this is one of the most unforgettable weddings I have ever attended, not just because it is my first time to be a bridesmaid but also because it's a celebration of love of one of the most genuinely nice couples I know.

The bohemian-themed wedding weekend began last Friday night when Anne, Far, Kristel, and I joined the bride-to-be at her suite in Richmonde Hotel in Eastwood. After her spa and mani-pedi session, we spent her last night as a single lady doing what girl friends do best - talking over sangria. ♥

Saturday, the day of the wedding, began early for us but frantic preparations began a little after 10 AM. The suite was abuzz with her hair and makeup team, parents and aunt, video and photography team, the wedding planners, and the bridesmaids and flower girls.

I got scrubbed up and prettified really well; here are some photos:

They got married in Our Lady of Consolation Parish Church while the reception was held in Fernwood Gardens. It was a simple ceremony but really beautifully-styled. Most importantly, love (and friendship) was abundant.

My sunshine and serenade-in-a-box Ed and his band performed at the reception. He was amazing and I'm so proud of him! ♥

Dear Rica,
I know the past few months (and especially the last couple of weeks) have been extremely stressful for you, nevertheless I am proud of the way you have managed to stay graceful despite all those times it would've been easier to pull out your hair and lash out at other people (in short, thank you for not going bridezilla on us LOL). I am thankful that we met and became friends, and I am glad and honored to have been a part of the celebration of this union. You and Eric belong together and truthfully, even though I've known you two for only less than a year, I couldn't imagine you not being with him and vice versa. You two are extremely blessed that fate (and that crazy bum ha ha) brought you together and I am excited to see the beautiful babies you two will bring up together.
I love you and again, as we can never have too much gratitude in this world, I am grateful to have you as a friend.
Krissy
They say you can never have too many friends, and they're right.

The merry-making continued as we went back to their suite after the reception.

The maid of honor/ Rica's best friend/ my namesake Kristel and I couldn't bring ourselves to change from our pretty dresses to our ordinary everyday clothes. I think it was already past 2 AM when I slipped into my pajamas.
The newlyweds ♥
After sharing stories from the wedding night over a lovely breakfast, we decided to leave the married couple alone to bask in the joys of new married-ness.

I couldn't bring myself to let the pretty flowers in my bridesmaid bouquet just go to waste when they wilt so I gathered my heaviest books and pressed them. My Kindle may be able to hold more than a thousand books, but it couldn't hold a candle over my copies of Harry Potter Page to Screen and Harry Potter Film Wizardry.

It was definitely a weekend of love and friendship to remember. Thank you for letting us witness your fairy tale, Eric and Rica. I wish you all the best. Now go make lots of beautiful babies! ♥
